Enflamed...New Condition

By Bomba101, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

I was playing Mass Effect, and somehow I got into my head a new condition idea for IA. Inflamed.

Your target is set on fire and suffers 1 damage over three rounds. At the end of three rounds the condition is removed. Harmful

I probably wouldn't implement it into the next wave(s) until we get some more Beneficial Conditions, that way there isn't an overabundance of Harmful conditions

Yeah I agree We need some beneficial conditions first. Wouldn't mind one that helps with defensive rolls, specifically.

But in regards to your first point, I would LOVE a set of the Flame Troopers from TFA, along with a Trooper/Hunter command card for a flamethrower :D

I always thought something like Adrenaline Rush would be a good helpful condition.

Something like, On your next attack take 1 strain (or damage) and re-roll a die to add +1 damage/+1 surge to your attack results, the discard this condition. Beneficial.

Defensive conditions? How about:

Wary

Add one white to your defense roll. On a dodge result, change the die to any other result on the die. Then remove this condition.

Beneficial

No thanks. My sinuses get enough of that as it is.

Yeah... I think "Burning" or something similar would be a better name. "Enflamed" just makes me thing of somthing swollen and painful...

*Command card*

"Strange Fungus Fume Bomb": Pick a space, all figures adjacent to that space have the enflamed condition until the next round.

I don't think you know what 'Enflamed' really means.

Other than the questionable name, its a good idea. Sort of like bleeding, only it does straight hp damage till you take the time to put it out.

Ah, I see. I can't change the topic name but I'll edit my original post.

I feel like this condition does too much for something most figures can't do anything about.

Inflamed is no better than enflamed. You mean "on fire" don't you?

I think being on fire should be more significant that a single damage. It should also reduce your attack and defence, maybe?

I considered "Burned" but that seemed out of place for some reason, due to it being in the past tense, but yes, I mean "on fire." I looked up the definitions, Enflamed is the be filled with anger or rage. Inflamed is the state of being on fire (Inflammatory.) There is probably a better word, but nothing comes to mind.

Also, that was my idea of the condition, but most people replying have edited and created a much more favorable version of the concept.

I think it should be "en fuego," because it's fun to say.

Kinda like "Francisco" is fun to say, but you can't really name a condition that.

or "Antidisestablishmentarianist" but I don't see this one unless it's an influence card that prevents the good player(s) from bringing an ally to that mission.

Enflamed condition. Eeeeewww!

Is there even a brothel map for imperial assault? Next wave, Twi'lek prostitute figures!

Oh you meant "on fire". :D

How about "Toasty"? :)

I guess "Burning" will just have to do...I mean they have Bleeding, so i guess it makes sense.

Call the condition "Cajun Style" cause its broiled and blackened ;)

How would it work? Add the card to the char element and 3 dmgs tokens on it?

It overlaps quite a lot with bleeding.

Inflamed and enflamed are both technically correct for what the OP wanted, it is just that it is more commonly used and understood as one of the alternative meanings.

How about "aflame"?

I learned that flammable and inflamable mean the same thing, Lana.

dengar would be nuts if this was a condition.
