According to Wookiedia cannon tab the MC-80 has over 5,000 crew.
How much death is on your hands?
So short of counting each crewman on your ship folks aren't happy with approximations? Bah.

With a Picture of the Liberty. The Home One doesn't have a canon compliment listed, unfortunately, and the MonCal designs are 'unique' enough from ship to ship that I figured a stated value was the better choice, even if it was Legends.
Another problem with including Troopers is that we don't know the complement for most of the rebel ships - just that they can have passengers. Do we assume every single rebel ship stuffs themselves to the brim with their already limited troops? 'cause then the MC80 gets a 10k bump.
How about this - What factors should go into determining the fatality count of a given ship?
yeah those numbers are way off, I base my numbers off the old info not weird new stuff. Also I think for some you listed troop complements instead of crew from wookiepedia. But needless to say you left 15k people off that ISD figure once you factor in army and stormtrooper complements. Also I wish they had a more fleshed out system for crippled ships ie not just cards that randomly happen but based on how much hull integrity is left. Because if hull is under 50% integrity not only are loads of systems and crew gone, more crew are going to be considering hitting the pods
Or being vacuumed into space..
What? None of course. Haven't you ever heard of dress gloves, or soap?
What is the Imperial academy teaching young cadets nowadays?

...I have heard of them...

What? Huh? How did I possibly imply one should count each of over 5,000 crewmen? How in the world did you get that?
I was merely nothing that the OP used 1,200 and Wookiepedia cannon tab said over 5,000. Geesh...
Everyone is failing to take into account the fact that people die when shots are exchanged, even if a ship isn't destroyed. If a section gets torpedoed all the dudes on the inside of the hull aren't like: "Well that sure sounded bad." They're more like: "Aaaaaaagh! Ahhhhhhhh!!!! My face! Oh cruel fates! Why have thou forsaken me?!?"

Silly boy, no one can hear you Aaaaaaagh in space... oh, wait, Star Wars. I guess you can Aaaaaaagh in space, carry on and remember your hand sanitizer.
Well being a new recruit to the fleet, 0 for me! I am hoping this weekend I can begin my reign of terror across the galaxy!
Escape pods..what a novel idea!
I myself prefer them to go down with the ship. It's a rare thing for one to be buried and cremated at the same time.
Mottie doesn't believe in escape pods ether.
"Will all great Naboo's ocean wash this blood
Clean from my hand? No, this my hand will rather
The multitudinous seas incarnadine,
Making the green one red."
uhhh, ive killed alot of ISD's
in the last 5 games ive probably killed 6 isd's alone
so im sure im somewhere in the 1/4 to 1/2 million people so far
does that make me a bad person?

Yes, yes it does.
It's not how many have died, it's how many imperial scum we need to get to.
Death and more death, be reckless with your own ships, let the galaxy burn!
"The code of Khorne is simple: blood and more blood. His only temple is the battlefield, his sole sacrament the spilled blood of nations. Consciously or not, all warrior cultures pay him homage with their acts of murder and destruction, from the headhunting tribes of backwater Feral Worlds to the planet-conquering warbands of the Chaos Space Marines of the World Eaters Traitor Legion.
Every single life taken in anger increases the Blood God's power. He looks well upon those warriors who slay their friends and allies, for they prove their understanding of a greater truth -- Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows, only that it flows. Friends or enemies, all the dead are equal in the eyes of the Lord of Battle. Those Khornate devotees who let a day pass without committing an act of bloody-handed slaughter inevitably incur the Blood God's displeasure."
...a moment taken from my 40k days. I'm sorry, I just thought it was appropriate.
Dead rebels dont count!
If I was to do this game over, I'd have damage be wayy more interactive. The ship would list and begin to burn as its "crippled". So instead of being destroyed, it stays on the table. you'd have to deploy rescue squadrons and **** to save some crew. When taking damage, you'd target certain zones, like the engine, or the command tower, or decks 13-15. And then you'd get damage that would be like: deck 15 breach, lost 50 crew.
I'd probably make that game a little simpler too. Much less delayed effects like crits and defense tokens and stuff. Some sort of simpler attack/range/los thing. anyway.
Enjoy having turn 3 take longer than the rest of the game combined.
Okay, I think I see what we need to do. We'll find the postal records, and see how many people were receiving mail on the different classes. One thing is axiomatic, through all of time and space military forces proiritize getting people mail.

So our new count is based on Contactable persons aboard the ship? Genius!
...where do we get those records? I'm fairly sure I *accidentally* vaporize all the debris to make sure my counts are complete, which...probably included mail logs.
