Hera and Navigator

By Stronghammer, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Can I reveal a red hard 1 right;

Use her ability to switch to a red hard 3 left;

Then use navigator to switch to a white hard 2 left?

As I understand it, no - you only *reveal your dial* once, and revealing your dial is the trigger for Hera and Navigator. The 'rotate your dial' step doesn't reveal it again I don't think.

But this may well get FAQ'd, as Boba Fett+Navigator was, and that was FAQ'd to be 'any bank can be changed to any other bank', so who knows, maybe Hera/Navigator might work the way you hope.

Reveal your dial.

Hera and Navigator both trigger

Resolve Hera

Resolve Navigator

You choose in what order to resolve the triggered abilities.

Hera works in the same way as Boba Fett (easier to spot if you use the green bank maneuver for reference).

Fair enough. It doesn't feel like it should work that way to me, but I'm assuming it'll get the same FAQ treatment as Boba did.

Say, in Epic, you have an Intelligence Agent and Raymus Antilles equipped on the same ship.

At the start of activation, you're allowed to both check a dial, and check a dial and on a white maneuver assign a stress token.

Smart thing to do would be to resolve them in the order of IA first, RA second. That way you increase your chances of hitting something with RA.

Or, start of combat, you've got a BSP with Wingman, and RAC with Ysanne and PtL. You could, by resolving in the right order, take the evade action, PtL off of it, and then clear the stress with Wingman.

Or Roark, a naked ship, a ship with Decoy and a ship with Swarm Tactics. Resolve Roark to push the Swarm Tactics to PS12, resolve Swarm Tactics to push the naked ship to PS12, resolve Decoy to steal the PS12 of the naked ship. Impractical, but you could turn a ship into PS12 at Range 6 of Roark.

It doesn't behave different because the cards are on the same ship.
