Adjacent - In the Same space - Objective Token

By Straangeer, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi Guys a question is occured, the situation is the following

My group will play D2ndE-LOR-

I started to read the rulebook, especially the quests, that's where i find some disturbing thing about OBJECTIVE tokens.

- In Quest, usually obj. tokens symbolise different objects, which a hero can interract.

In Basic D2ndE rulebook 15th page the following is written.:

"Carrying Obj. Tokens"

Certain quests allow heroes or monsters to pick up objective tokens.
Figures may pick up these objective tokens by performing a special
action while adjacent to or in the same space as the objective token.
okay it is for carrying...
In case of the search token, it is simple because in Basic D2ndE rulebook 10th page the following is written.:
If a hero is adjacent to or in a space that contains a search token, he may
perform a search action to search that space.
the "in a space" phrase is mentioned so it is easy.
BUT
May i can interract "as an action" with an objective token in quests if my hero figure is on it / in the same space and the rulebook does not mention " in a space" phrase just adjacent to trigger that action?
In this case that obj. token - does not block line of sight or movement - becasue it is not mentioned in the rulebook.

with different aspect.:

So If I'm top of it i have to move next to it to became adjacent to the obj token and in that time i can trigger "as an action" that token OR i can stay on top of it to trigger that "as an action" but in the rulebook for that obj token the "in a space as obj. token" does not mentioned for that quest.

It is a question for obj. token in general.

How do you play?

Thanks for the answers!

"In a space" means 0 spaces away.

"Adjacent" means EXACTLY 1 space away (that is, NOT in the same space.)

"Adjacent or in a space" means 0 or 1 spaces away, equivalent to "within 1 space."

Adjacent does not include the same space as the token unless the rules say so- for example, you cannot revive a hero if you are standing on his token because you can perform a revive action on an ADJACENT knocked out hero only.

If quest rules use normal rules for carrying objective tokens, go by that section you quoted. If the special rules specify that it can be acted on by adjacent figures, that means NOT in the same space.
