We only just finally got Wave II, and I've seen post upon post speculating on Wave III. Some people were even wondering how long it'll take FF to put out Wave III info and griping about it. What?!

Is this like, just, setting ourselves up for disappointment to start looking forward to Wave III already? Have some fun and get to know our new Wave II toys. I've only gotten to play with my Raiders a few times now in a campaign we're doing, and I've only fielded my Imperial Star Destroyer once!

Considering from the announcement to the actual release takes like half a year, the announce can't come fast enough.

Well Imperials seem pretty set. We are practically guaranteed to be getting an Interdictor soon, possibly with some special squadrons like the Tie Phantom and the Tie Defender.

Rebels though... that's a tough one. We've pretty much exhausted the supply of cannon capital ships for the Rebels. Squads though we still got the K Wing, the Headhunter Z-95, the E Wing, and the Ghost. Odds are some of them will appear in the next wave, especially now that Rebel fighter play is considered weak in the meta.

Yes I am exited to see what new ships Wave 3 will bring.....but still I just got Wave 2.

I will use this time to get to know my new ships from wave 2.

Wave 3 will come when it comes....that will give me some time to gather new cash to buy into next wave.

My mistake, I did not word that correctly.

What I meant is that the new Wave will probably not be released for around 6 months - but that FFG doesn't want to announce it so early, and have everyone waiting so long from the announcement to release.

I like having the announcements early. Speculating what is coming, then what upgrades they will have and their capabilities is part of the fun for me. I like speculating about movies, video games and now table top games.

I am not sure why the desire for an announcement upsets so many people on this forum. The announcement of the next wave should not diminish your enjoyment of the current wave at all. If you do not what an announcement then do not read it. What reason could you possibly have for not wanting an announcement?

Some folks recognize that once they have something to anticipate, much of their energy will go towards that anticipation as opposed to simply living in the moment and enjoying the toys that they just recieved. Its natural for people to focus on what they want rather then what they have.

That said, I'd still like to see the announcement. Because I like the anticipation.

I really hope there is not an announcement for months. I'm content with the ships we currently have. I am fine if they do make an anouncement but I don't need one. I'm loving what we already have.

The fact there still is not an announcement is very surprising. It's normal for ffg to announce. things well in advance and always before the upcoming wave is in stores. I expected wave 3 might have something Force Awakens related so maybe now that the movie is out and being widely viewed it will be announced soon

An X-Wing with Scatter would be pretty amazing. Actually, anything combining escort with a scatter token would be pretty interesting.

Winged Liberty will have a CR90 style arc setup, with a 5 3 3 (or 2) shield setup.

It will have the Assault frigate side arc's on its front and both sides. Might have an extra blue dice on the front.

Wingless liberty might end up being 2-3 more waves out, not different enough from MC80 to be worth adding to the game at this point.

I know they might not be considered canon but I played the tie fighter and x-wing games and wouldn

Even if they announced today it'd still be close to 6 months before wave 3 hit shelves... so there really isn't anything to worry about. A lot of us LOVE the speculation and dreams of what is on the horizon. It gives us something to chat about at the next social game setting, chatting about what upgrades each ship will have, how many we want to get, etc.

I'm predicting a Rebels/Comics inspired wave. Many ships have appeared in Rebels and the Comics. Even though I REALLY don't want any more squadrons - I'm guessing they'll do more of them. Honestly this game has twice as many squadron types as it has ship types. I'd like for the variety of the game to come from CAPITAL starships, rather than squadrons.

Also want to see some upgrades that deal with frontal arcs. Maybe a rebel general or rebel officer that Improve your front arc?

I actually could see them doing a wave here and there where they dont add any new squadrons, though I would be a little surprised if it came in wave three.
