In my local meta ypu dont see many of them i have noticed. That being said most of the guys in my local meta dont run Imperials. That said I am our local imperial player really and i love the shuttles.

I personally love all the different builds although my favorite is just a naked shuttle. In recent games I've been playing 3 naked shuttles with Fel with great results.

People underestimate them because of their dial, yet with the right deployment you can overcome those issues and bring the hurt. Then with fel he can mop up whats left while you really start blocking up the lanes.

Palp shuttle and 2 aces is definitely a thing.

The only time I fly a Lambda is in a Swarm+ with 6 Academy Pilots and Gunner and FCS. I've given up on Academy Pilots, they're wastes of points. So I fly Crack Squadrons now and that prevents me from doing Swarm+'s.

Also should have an Engine Upgrade. The biggest advantage is that you counterbalance the loss of dice mod with Gunner+FCS.

4 spacecow mini swarm!! try it some time!! just make sure you stagger/fly them so they can cover each others rears!! Its also really fun to watch the person's facial expressions when they see 4 space cows on the board!

I gotta try 4 cows. I flew a 3 ship mini-herd a few weeks back with Soontir Fel wrangling them, just like Dom Cairo's list from way back when. It did great, but I sorta kinda boxed Fel in on my first game and got him blown up real good. Didn't lose a single ship the rest of the day though.

Just fly Palpmobile with Carnor Jax and Vader tonight. The 4 spacecow mini swarm looks like it would be a blast. The problem is I would have to find people with shuttles. Buying three more shuttles for a quirky list is not in the budget right now.

I do think the named Lambdas don't get enough usage, Colonel Jendon in particular. Being able to hand off TLs is wonderful, especially combined with the title. Having your ATC Advanceds all locked n' ready even before they engage? Give a TL off to some INTs or Phantoms that don't normally have a TL to help on that first pass? Maybe rolling with Bombers and LRS still isn't out yet or you don't want to use it? Jendon is the man. And Kagi and Yorr both have some fun abilities that can be put to good use (though Kagi starts to become slightly cost prohibitive...).
