What's the problem? Have you been reporting posts? Just because some posts something you don't like doesn't means the post violated the terms of service agreement.

I'm all in for better moderation of the boards. In fact, any sort of moderation at all!

I know someone that was banned last week in real life. They definitely are around.

Generally they are hands off though. You need to do your part and report posts that are not in good faith, or violate board rules.

Admins can also log-on as invisible, if these are anything like the boards I used to run. It doesn't update the "last log" date if it's always been invisible.

I think that we on the forums need to be more proactive in moderating as well though:

1. If someone posts something inflammatory or starts spamming posts, as hard as it is we as a forum community should ignore the post and the person responsible for it. If you look at the posts a certain member made that has alot of people upset, the member posted about 3-4 times on each post, the other 100 post are all from other members. By posting instead of ignoring that member it a) takes us away from why we are all really here, to talk x-wing or star wars in general and B) keeps the troll post front and center on the forum boards.

2. If someone posts something to the point where it can't be ignored then report the post. Sure moderators should be watching the forum, but its also on us to make them aware of people abusing the forum. If your house was on fire would you not call the fire department because you think they should be able to see the blaze themselves or that a neighbor will probably call?

3. Let's not let one person bring this forum down, lets get back to talking about x-wing and Star Wars and leave the negativity behind us!
