Saw TFA in 2D last night and saw it in 3D tonight. My rating of the movie had now gone up

If you can see 3D effects you MUST see the 3D version as it is soooooooo much better. Gives better perspective.

Disney, I need E5-E6 in 3D immediately. Now. Execute. Make it happen. I am waiting.

Actually lucasfilm was in the process of converting all 6 to 3D before the Disney buy out. They completed 1-3 but hadn't started 4-6 yet. You can blame Disney for axing the project, at least for now.

I saw it in both, and I agree it is better in IMAX 3d. Actually one of the best 3D films in a long time. Doesn't compare to stuff like Avatar, but for a 2D movie they have plenty of strong 3D scenes.

It doesn't NEED 3d.... but the 3D makes many scenes, like every shot of that Star Destroyer, far more powerful.

I find it difficult to concentrate with the weight of the glasses on my nose.

Additionally, it darkens the screen too much. I saw one of the Avengers movies in 3D and the glasses dulled all the bright colours and subdued the colour palette.
