So I know he is no Poe Dameron, but I like the manoeuvring possibilities of Ello and I think a white talon roll then boost has the potential for some unpredictable combat opportunities. (have a look on echolocation to see the types of moves you can do, you don't want to be behind Ello! http://randolphw.github.io/echolocation/)

So I am looking at running him with an R2 astro to help keep him unstressed (and IA for the bonus "hull" obviously) and am looking for the right EPT.

Outmaneuver seems to be appropriately named but will T-Roll+Boost put him out of the enemy arc to benefit?

Opportunist is another EPT I like, as with the right move you could be throwing 5 dice at range one against a chaser, but I have found that with a high pilot skill your targets too often have focus or evade tokens to nullify the power.

What other EPTs would work with Ello and his Talon Roll?

The talon roll on its own has the potential to work with outmanuver if he's flown near a table edge or as a flanker. Otherwise any of the usual suspects for dice mods (pred,lone wolf) or perhaps marksmankship to give you that focus crit

I agree with PTL, along with BB-8 and Integrated Astromech.

Ello's uniqueness is the ability to pull of the talon roll almost at will. Now he can choose to do that, or do a green move & double action. When he is already in optimal combat position he can focus and target lock. If he's not, he can talon roll or boost and still have a focus. Incredibly versatile.

He's the king of T-70 maneuvering.

Ello, PTL, BB8, Integrated Astromech

Red Squad Vet, Crack Shot, Targetting Astromech, Integrated Astromech

Everyone is a viable threat, and the RSV is perfect to get that killing shot on something late in the round.

Hopefully Poe gets to close the game, but if not Ello seems pretty competent for it as well.
