Hey Guys,
Just seeking some feedback on an adventure I'm running this weekend. Thoughts and feedback always appreciated:
FORCES OF DARKNESS
EPISODE VI
Missing Pieces
Highly secretive Imperial shipments have been stolen across the sector by local crime gangs and terrorists, with their contents being sold to crimelords who aim to corner the drug market in the Dominus Sector.
The GALACTIC EMPIRE has responded by doubling their forces along the sector trade routes, and blockading several systems to slow down smuggling, and flush out the offenders responsible for these thefts.
Zax Wettega and his associates have arrived at the Hutt controlled world of Qi’Ilbre to deliver one of these cargoes after clearing the local Imperial Database of their ship’s indiscretions. Now armed with their own sample of the drug RYL-X, the crew search for answers....
HOOK
The PCs try to learn more about RYL-X and how it is made.
CLIFF-HANGER
The PCs are directed to a small chemical analysis company run exclusively by Chadra Fan. Their leader, Yaq Aquee (female Chadra Fan), claims to know very little, but believes the company’s CEO, Professor Luctas Naz, is an expert in breaking down unusual compounds and identifying their properties. Luctas has been recently contracted by a private investor to work at a small outpost on Isleis, and if they travel to the outpost, they may be able to speak with him there. Before the PCs can leave, Black Sun operatives show up looking for the same thing the PCs are, and a battle in the labs occurs.
DEVELOPMENT
The PCs arrive only to find the base in tatters. After conducting an investigation, and dealing with strange zombie-like force sensitive mutants, they learn that the base is owned by the Zaan Consortium.
CLIFF-HANGER
Soon after, representatives from Zaan Consortium arrive to examine the professor’s progress. The PCs will need to either blast their way out or negotiate with the Consortium leader, a Human named Jado Irarch. Either with the assistance of the Zann Consortium or without, the PCs learn that mercenaries from Black Sun attacked the base and kidnapped the Professor. Data logs show that the ship was destined for an area of space not within any system.
DEVELOPMENT
The PCs travel to the coordinates, where they track the ship to an abandoned Republic Medical Facility.
CLIMAX
The PCs must rescue the Professor either through subterfuge or straight out attacking the Black Sun operative’s hideout. When they find the Professor, he is shackled in a makeshift laboratory under guard, his task to learn the formula for a mysterious compound.
RESOLUTION
Once rescued, the Professor thanks the PCs by agreeing to examine their sample of RYL-X. He confirms that the compound is the same compound that both Black Sun and the Zann Consortium had him investigating. The Professor explains that pure RYL-X is a mix of Glitterstim, and the crushed crystal found on Solanus. What is worse is that the compound is designed to give individuals permanent Force Powers. Unfortunately the drug (its its purest form) does not work well when applied to an average person, but works remarkably well on people who have cybernetics.
