I just purchased the Core Rulebook game. I was wondering the best way to learn the game (before I find a group to play).

Also, any pointers on finding any play-by-post games or a once or twice a week live game that meets late in the evening would be appreciated.

Buy a Beginner game box. It has an introductory adventure that will teach you the game for both the GM and players and a set of dice is included.

As for play-by-post games, ask. For a live game, go out and shanghai a handful of your Star Wars loving friends.

You could listen to some actual games being played, by podcast or something.
