Just a quick question for our night session : In the guardians of deephall rumor quest's setup, it says : "Collect 3 red and 4 blue tokens and shuffle them together. Place 2 of these tokens facedown on the map as indicated. Then, the heroes place the remaining tokens facedown in the unique spaces marked with an "X", split as evenly as possible. After placing these tokens, the heroes may look at the color of these tokens at any tie"

So, are the heroes able to look at the color of the token before they place them, so they might select which token to put on specified space or are they only able to look at the color once they have placed them?

Placing them facedown indicates that before they are placed, they are not known. Also it says "then" (they may look AFTER placing.)
