Lol...really can I sell you another Tie Defender to go with the useless one you got.

I can't find a job, but this guy HAS to buy a Raider so he can run his Tie Advanced? I thought it was funny at first, but now I wish I had the food in my stomach to throw up...

Wait, you are complaining about them releasing new Defenders and Bombers, and you've bought 12 Armada Templates? Are you nuts? I mean you are complaining about having to buy new content to play with the new content, but at the same time are boasting about litterally pissing your money away for no purpose what so ever.

You are acting as if FFG has sprung this distribution model on you and swindled you out of your money. This is exactly how they've released revisits of previous products before, this is exactly how they've stated they always plan to revisit models. Nothing whatsoever has changed.

The level of greed this game rises to, is a a level for me never seen before in the history of gaming. I want C3-PO but I have to buy a ridiculous epic ship suited for Armada. Are you kidding me? Too bad boycotts never work because this kind of practice could be shut down quickly if people everywhere would stick together and refused to buy any new ships until they fixed this business model. In theory, it would start by getting the world's best players involved to say enough is enough.

Only, now when it is too late do I see the errors of my ways. I was surprised a great starter collection was dumbed for such a small amount, only now do I know.

1. it's not Armada

2. it's EPIC

3. and Epic is EPIC.

4. try epic.

5. No, really!

6. Or just buy a C3PO card.

7. If it's not for tournaments, make one.

8. Their business model is nice. It's not GW. Your old ships don't get NERFED TO HELL with the next codex.

To top it off, half of the ships I buy are poorly assembled. My YT-2400 can't be picked up without it falling off the peg and ships point 10-45 degrees to the right or left and are pitched in crazy angles off horizontal because some Chinese worker didn't spend time gluing in the peg.

You had me until that point. You sir, are a bigot.

I've won multiple tournaments with lists (ships and upgrades) that could have been bought in total for $100 before tax. Please stop insisting that you have to own that Raider in order to be competitive.

Because you don't.

I don't own any Epic Ships or their upgrade cards. Hell I don't even own the Decimator or K-wing.

FFG has given us the choice to buy the Raider, Rebel Transport, and Tantive with incentives to buy it. Without TIE Advanced upgrades, who the hell is going to buy a Raider? Would you? And what about all the wages, hours of development, and creativity that went into making that Raider? The shipping costs? The manufacturing costs? FFG is a game company. They're supposed to make money so they can keep doing what they're doing. If their products are poor quality and/or their prices are too high, then the market responds by choosing a better option.

FFG is not an NGO with a sole purpose of providing you with toys at cost while they stay above the poverty line. X-wing is a game. No one is forcing you to play this game, so I'm not sure what you're raging about.

Guys, he was forced to buy 12 Armada templates to be competitive. He's had enough.

Eh, this is like complaining apple will churn out new iphones once a year with fixes & new tricks as an entirely different phone.

You want to play a competitive, tactical maneuvering miniatures game without a changing meta and requires no fixes? Go ahead, it's called Chess™

Imperial Veterans is the first one to come out that I already have the ships from. I bought Imperial and Rebel Aces to get my Ints, B and A. I already own one Defender and Two Bombers. I don't want any more bombers and had no plans to buy any more Defenders. But...

I am ecstatic about this set. It's great. I'll be happy to have a second Defender. And I plan to give one of my Bomber expansions to my nephew and buy him a Veterans too. This is a great set.

I can understand people coplaining about bundling great standard play cards with Epic ships, but complaining about defender fix is just a proof you can't please anyone.

FFG said they can't/won't release card only packs, so every fix will come bundled with a ship.

If a fix comes bundled with another copy of the same ship, you make people who don't want one more copy of the ship unhappy (see thi thread)

If you bundle the fix with another ship, you make the people who are not interested in the other ship (see complaints about Integrated Astromech being included in the t-70 pack).

I have the money and a huge game room. That is not my point.,.this is not about me, but the less fortunate they prey upon who get into the game and find they can't keep up. I am not rich mind you but have at least a 20k collections of games--I am old and have had more time than some of you. I genuinely feel bad for the poor college students who get sucked into this game and become bitter after all the work they put in. It is a shame....a crooked one.

I wish you best luck on your finding a job. My point is that poor people can't afford this kind of shenanigans. You might not be port, just down on your luck. Let me attempt to change that. If you post your resume to a Google doc and PM me a login I get you a job in 8 weeks making what you had before within 40 mins with the same benefits or better if you live in a city over 250k people. If not, I'll buy you any fantasy flight item for free under $200. You're out 30 mins for a job or $200. Up to you good sir.

Cheers

Oh heck, I am complaining about all the crooked sh$t. The defender was just the final straw for me.

Guys, he was forced to buy 12 Armada templates to be competitive. He's had enough.

That was to my four player games play quicker. 2 speed movements tools are easier to put on the table than 4.

I was pointing out that they use cheap labor in China...fact. If they paid their Chinese workforce more, or gave them more time per unit to install the pegs that would be a solution. Are we calling people in China something other than Chinese and I didn't get the memo.

...I'm going to take a wild guess and say 93.15% of us don't agree with your take on FFG's way of doing business.

IM SO **** EXCITED FOR THE VETERANS PACK IM BUYIN 3. HOT DOG. DEFENDER FIXES AND MORE BOMBERS HERE WE COME. WHO IS EXCITED? THIS GUY. WOOP WOOP.

@Zerotc: Now the rest of your aurgument is a real aurgument with real points.

My point is the unbridled part. I want them to make lots of money because I want there to be an incentive. Don't let my username, which I realize now is a problem making these arguments, fool you. I am a ww2 buff and since the soviets won the war I took who was possibly their best commanders name as a username. Brilliant combined arms tactician. Studied him in the War College. He died before the end of the war so h didn't get the fanfare of others and is largely forgotten.

Their is a point were the corporation justs starts unfair practices. Yea only people playing epic should buy the raider. Their should be no unfair incentive granted to epic players than us other players. If epic can stand on its own two feet it doesn't deserve a bailout from us the regular X-wing players. Thank you for the second part of your post.

Right, but the Tantive's C3PO is being given away in a few months at Store Championships. The Gozanti's upgrades are hardly necessary for competitive lists. That leaves the Rebel Transport and the Raider. And those are only necessary if you choose to run lists that are reliant on those upgrades. You have thousands upon thousands of combinations that are competitive.

That's also two ships out of what feels like 50+. Does FFG really deserve all this vitriol? I come from a Warhammer 40K background. Games Workshop deserves that vitriol. FFG certainly does not when you look at the whole picture if you ask me.

It should also be noted that a Raider gives 4 copies of the TIE Advanced title and comes with a TIE Advanced ship itself. Even if you're not selling some of those upgrades (which I probably will end up doing myself) or splitting the Raider with a friend, I view the breakdown as $15 for the included TIE Adv, $15 for upgrade cards ($5 to upgrade 3 additional TIE Advanced). That leaves $70 for a beautiful ship. Still expensive, yes. But relative to a Decimator in terms of material, it seems fair.

Zerotc is right. I stand corrected. I retract my aurgument in full.

I don't read topics that start with a 'lol'.

I'm really sorry for this.

What exactly is your problem? If you don't like the game, stop playing, go about your merry way. Don't bother us about it.

Plenty of people use their Defenders, it's a great ship. If you don't see that, that's your loss.

Why the aggressive tone towards people who play this game? What have we done to you?

Hel-Nah some peoples just need to screams!

Actually there Mr. Darth Vader you had better hope the Emps has some forgiveness in him, or at least a sense of property value! I mean... you did pretty much let your kid blow up the Peace Sphere, so... yeah.

Oh Star Wars... the memes are soooo good.

Maybe you should try to get off the naughty list.
