That gif reminds me I really need to paint the astromech of my T-70. Looks kind of potato-ish the way it does now.

I think it's the first time Ello Asty has been officially spoiled:

Even though potatocam photos of these two packs' contents have been swirling around Facebook for days.
Rendered paint job was better (bright white and blue).
Not much of a true spoiler for me since my store got these in yesterday. Red Ace "Scarlet Comet" is a disgusting trolly beats, and I love her.
I appreciate that they gave us a crisp image of Ello Asty. I always get bugged looking for images of cards on the internet that never got a preview image. They are never the same quality as those FFG puts up.

Yeah, that is a real problem, for sure. Thank the heavens there is finally a higher resolution photo of a bunch of text everyone could all easily read anyway. Finally.

Can the snark - good quality images of cards (consistent with each other) are important for the Wiki, some Squad Builders and Vassal.
Edited by maxamthe inclusion of "Epsilon Leader" within the squadron ensures that both "Omega Ace" and "Zeta Leader" will be able to clear the stress they take in order to fuel their extra attack dice, allowing them to take actions and increase the potency of their attacks immediately in subsequent rounds.
I have a request. Next World's, can FFG host a demo explaining how the game works for the person who writes these articles?
Epsilon Leader does nothing to help Opportunist Omega Ace or Zeta Leader to deal with stress they acquire from their abilities. It only helps them clear stress at the start of combat.

I wish Fantasy Flight would provide good quality images for all of their cards. There is still a few on the Wiki that is quite poor compared to the others.
I don't know if they'll ever do it but I would appreciate it.
I really want to like these TIE f/o pilots. I think FFG is trying hard to give players the option of flying TIE Fighters with a bit more character, but unfortunately the traditional Howl swarm is just so cost effective and easier to fly for me.
I think Omega Leader is going to see some play, but Omega Ace just takes way too much of an investment (26 points when including Squad Leader) even when you're not taking Epsilon Leader which I don't think is necessary.

He didn't say it was a real problem. He said he appreciated it because low resolution pictures bugged him. But thank the heavens for posts like yours - voicing individual appreciation is a real problem nowadays apparently.

I really think Comm Relay will be essential for the TIE/fo. It effectively gives the Imperials something similar to a shield regen effect as long as they can continue to take Evade actions after spending the token. Their statline becomes nearly identical to the old 21-point Advanced, with three hull, one shield and one regenerating Evade token, but they get a much better dial.
You can fit three Zetas with Comm Relay and two Tempest Squadron Pilots with Accuracy Corrector for 99 points. If you're willing to kick up to 100 points, you can replace one Zeta with Epsilon Ace.

Each component in the blurb is technically correct, but it's poorly phrased and not all relevant to the context of the example list repeatedly doing it.
"the inclusion of "Epsilon Leader" within the squadron ensures that both "Omega Ace" and "Zeta Leader" will be able to clear the stress they take in order to fuel their extra attack dice" - True
"will be able to clear the stress they take in order to fuel their extra attack dice, allowing them to take actions and increase the potency of their attacks immediately" - True ...
if they still have stress at the end of activation that turn. Why they would have that? Either they performed a white maneuver since last combat round triggering their abilities, or they Slooped and didn't have an action (but either of these scenarios contradict the "allowing them to take actions" if we take the word actions as literally Action: Focus/TL/etc. If acting by activating opportunist or Zeta's ability, then it's technically correct.)
"increase the potency of their attacks immediately in subsequent rounds." - True...conditionally
Immediately, sure. But subsequently? This again is assuming you have stress at the end of activation phase. So they did a white instead of green, losing their action, and have that stress, or they didn't activate those stress causing abilities this round, sloop'd losing their action step, but can trigger their abilities once the combat phase arrives.
Lose the phrases "allowing them to take actions" and "in subsequent rounds." and it's not so awkward. It's also not exactly useful when the ships already have green everything.

I like the idea of Epsilon in a tight jousting swarm, but their example list looks a bit ridiculous even before giving up Howlrunner's evade for another ship's Target lock/focus.

Yea that's true. Not quite as good as regen since you can't make up for consecutive damage in one round, but I get what you're saying.
You've given me a sliver of hope to work with ![]()
Not sure if FFG has made a ruling on Youngster's ability yet, but if it works on the TIE f/o as well, I'm definitely going to try Comm Relay spam with Youngster Expose.
Favorite Combo I've tested is Red Ace+R2-D2+Comm Relay+Integrated Astro. Throw Jan Ors Crew on a nearby ally for extra fun. Can't wait to test out the new FO Pilots. Some of them are quite nasty.
Pretty sure people are still going to just use epsilons 90% of the time apart from some very specific lists. The FO is pricey enough as it is.
What if I want to join the 1st Order instead?
