For the more "common" crystals (at least going by the KOTOR games), you could just use the standard Ilum crystals, maybe taking away one of the damage mods to account for how the Dantooine crystals aren't as potent as the Ilum variety.

The adventure in the FaD GM kit provides stats for Rubat crystals and those stats are that they are identical to an Ilum crystal. So there's already a RAW way to have a 'common' crystal type without holidaying on Illum every year.

Also, crystals from Dantooien already have official F&D stats on the core book. They're the Dantari Crystals found on page 196.

Yep I know someone has to actively use sense as in sense their surroundings to notice. But all that other information is interesting I didnt know that about the mephite crystals.

That's Tramp's own interpretation. RAW is more vague.

Quote

Force-sensitive characters using Force powers to sense their surroundings automatically detect a lightsaber using a mephite crystal if it is in range of the power.

Meaning, depending on how your GM decides to call it, it could be detected by anyone using sense, farsight, foresee or seek within range, and again, depending your GM's judgement call, could be applied to anyone using ongoing effects of said powers. It's vague enough that the least generous interpretation is as valid as the most generous.
