I like how pilots have been getting the same ability even when flying a new ship of the same faction. This had me thinking of other existing pilots who flew different ships. First two that come to mind are Corran and Keyan. I think these represent how the same pilot ability greatly changes in value from ship to ship.

Keyan in a ywing would be an alright ability, until paired with stress bot. Stress you to give me a focus? It might be too good for a ywing.

Corran on the other hand, would have a harder time making the most of his ability in an xwing without his trusty Fire control system.

What other pilots and their abilities would transfer well or poor to other ships?

I believe Tycho flew an xwing but not sure.

Tycho actually flew X-wings much more often then A-wings. He's in the A as a tribute to the fact that he volunteered to fly an A-wing during the Battle of Endor.

Wedge Zeb and Sabine all flew a tie fighter too. Unfortunately I don't think we will see cross faction ships between rebel and empire. Han and chewy will never be lambda shuttle pilots.

Was thinking more of keyan in an ywing, targeting astromech would be amazing. Red moves get you a target lock and focus. Not bad on their 4 reds, even if he didn't have an ept. I can't see them adding more ywings. Tho bwings won world and got an aces pack so who knows anymore.

Tycho ability in an t65 xwing would be ok. Probably put engine upgrade and pTL on him and he wouldn't be that different from how his awing flies. Even more the same if he was a t70 pilot.

I don't think we will see a proliferation of pilots in multiple ships. Ghost and Imperial Vets are special cases, the first being iconic to the show and the second being THE most requested thing on this board besides GUNBOAT. It might be a long time before we see one more of such pilots, much less multiples.

I just want a T65 Legends Title for 3 pts that gives named T65 Xwing pilots a boost and added shield. Then I can use the ships I have.

IDK, I think Corran in a T-65 is wayyy more needed and requested than Maarek in a TIE/D was. Honestly, I don't even care that much if he isn't as good in it. I just can't help but feel a little weird not being able to fly Wedge and Corran together in T-65s.

I do think a Corran at PS8 with his ability and an EPT in the 28-30 points range for a T-65 wouldn't be too bad. Probably not as "WTF annoying" of course, but still very flavorful/powerful.

Would be big kudos to FFG if they do the Green stripe repaint if/when they give Corran his X. Double if they make "Whistler" a card too =)

I think Farlander and Tycho are fine. I know they flew other ships more often, but the ships they are in currently are more what people remember. Whereas Corran/Maarek were put into a different ship originally, not the one they were known for. I was glad Maarek was getting his signature ship after all. I just hope they follow suit with Corran.

Wedge, and iirc Hobbie flew TIE fighters and Interceptors

Tycho and Corran are best known for their time in the X wing

But Wedge Tycho and Luke all flew at one point E wings

Wedge Tycho and Corran also flew in Z95s

Keyan is the sole Y wing survivor of Endor

Ibistam flew in an X wing (even though she hated it)

I want to say Airen Cracken flew A wings

Han and Chewy obviously flew the Shuttle

Hera flew the (prototype) Blade wing

Sabine, Zeb, and Ezra flew a TIE fighter

cross-faction is highly unlikely to be a thing outside the case of bounty-hunters

simply because it'll cause a weird bit of a stir to have iconic (in the EU) characters such as Wedge killing his buddies outside of those weird, parallel-world reb v reb engagements. Basically, it'll really screw with the identity of the factions.

but what could be exciting, given the standard set by Hera and Maarek...

Can personally vouch for Ibi being bloody awesome in an X-wing. That extra die and access to an R2 astromech makes all the difference.

See, if X-wings need an Aces pack at some point, I'd actually quite like if they sprinkled in the veteran pilots from elsewhere instead of making yet more pilots - and Corran is lethal no matter the hull he flies in.
