sssh dont tell the OP about Junior....

(the TIE from the Gozenti who lets generics use his EPT)

TIE Advanced Prototype, the new TIE from Rebels.

You mean TIE Adv. Prototype.

Only works with TIE Fighters.

Wrong topic?

Man now all I can think about is how much better a name "junior" is than "youngster"

There is absolutely NO good reason to do so, but I desperately want to fly Xamot with Lightning Reflexes and Tie MkII. The ability to fly repeated 1,2, and 3K turns or 1,2, and 3 S-Loops just sounds like too much fun. Of course, your stuck with no actions on a 2 attack ship but good gravy, more fun in a furball than anyone else.

I'm most excited to finally play some bomber spam lists again:

5 X Scimitar + Concussion/Proton/Clusters + Long Range Scanners

I think that will be a great start to test out just how good Long Range Scanners will perform.

IMO it's a straight buff to TL. Almost guarantees double modified attacks.

Yes, you could dump all of your target locks on one ship and you opponent could play keep away with it, but then you've won.

6x Scimitar Squadron, 6x LRS. 2x Ion Bomb with the remaining 4 points? Initiative bid to see where your opponent sets up his PS 2's?

If I was running 5x Bomber, I'd run 5x Scimitar each with 2 Flechette Torpedoes and LRS. Even without applying the stress you're still firing 3 dice. Make one Jonus with no torps and take one flechette off?

3 red dice is not enough to get through all the Soontir Fels out there. Might be the same with Bro Bots. You really need 4 red dice as a way to break through some of those ships. Those are the same ships that usually have an Evade, as well. That's why Homing Missile is so effective. You get 4 dice that you can use a TL on and they can't use their Evade. With LRS, we even get to Focus, too. Two missiles in the same round should kill a Soontir Fel w/ Stealth Device. It's not that hard to catch Soontir Fel in arc at R 2-3 with 2 Tie Bombers, especially if you are gunning for him. The board is only so big and at that range, it's not easy to arc dodge.

Besides Homing, your next option would be Concussion Missile. Proton Torps are good, but they turn an eyeball into crit. If you have LRS, you get the Focus to turn them all. Concussion will have more hits on average by turning the odd blank into a hit. Not as good as Homing Missile, but one point cheaper.

Yes. We've already been through this and established that it's a TIE Adventurous Prototype ;)

I'd run a gamma like a quarterback. Have the interceptor and Fighters tie up first, have him slowpoke behind repeating missiles and torps before a final bomb push.

This said, yeah, i know it. I prefer to run flight groups.

3 bombers, heavy loadout.

Me to! my friends tend to fly each individual ship, I fly them AS ONE! MWAHAHAHA!

not necessarily in Formation all the time, but they always work together still.

one time, Vader and Soontir were both flanking on opposite sides, I found an Important Target in the middle, who had sustained damage, and Soontir and Vader both zoomed in and got the kill!

I love this game.....

What about the no discard EPT Bomber guy, Adrenaline Rush, and a mine with Extra Munitions? 5k towards something and drop that Conner Net. Now that you know where they're going, get them with the second Conner Net.

If you have a missile or torpedo, you could then flip back around and hit the actionless ship with a something.

Yes. I think the best solo guy will be the continues Crackshot one. Even without ordnance, he's good. With ordnance, he's even better.

Adrenaline Rushing Vader 2-3 times per game > a few Crackshots, imho. :)

YMMV

Imperial Control:

5x Scimitar Squadron Pilots with TIE Shuttle and Tactician

10 points left, so season with Tracers, Ion Pulse Missiles, Ion Bombs and/or Seismic Charges to taste.

The Tie Shuttle loses access to Bombs, Torpedoes and Missiles.

Er, right.

Okay, upgrade them all to Gamma Squadron Pilots? Or upgrade three to Gammas, and put Intel Agents on four of them?
