Wedge with PTL, BB-8, and EU becomes quite the repositioning monster (compared to your average X-Wing). I've had some good success with him. As long as you end the round unstressed and in a position to utilise BB-8's ability, the three action economy for the next turn can give you quite an edge.

At 38 points, Wedge had better deliver and quickly! For that same 38 points you could run Poe with BB, PTL, AND Autothrusters. Not to mention that extra shield.

Definitely let us know how that goes. I'm skeptical to lose the capability/threat that R3-A2 gives you, as it makes him nearly as much of a threat as the other two. Without that, the Blue Squaddie is a clear lowest priority target.

I've seen some NASTY Red Ace play, but he's super expensive.

Funnily enough, r3-a2 may have helped against the one list ship I had trouble with (Fel)

Ignoring the blue noob is a mistake a few people have made. you leave the non-regen ship with free, mostly modified shots

T-70 is overcosted for sure. Poe is its only redeeming quality atm much like Corran for the E-Wing.

But the integrated astromech is nice patch for the T-65.

One step forward, one step back... were does that leave us again?

I just don't agree with this idea that the T-70 is over cost. The B-wing might be undercost, but with powercreep and TLTs, 1 agility ships are getting eat'n up out there!

I have been flying 3 and 4 X-wing lists and often find my 3 X lists don't even suffer a loss! The upgrades are there and these ships are tough! Often two of my X-wings can regenerate shields, making them even tougher to take down. I've been flying Poe and Ello right into the thick of things and they either come out without a scratch or in a round or two are back to full health! B-wings cannot do this.

For those that have only theorized about the X-wing and have dismissed them.... give some of these lists a try.

I flew a few practice games against friends with the Blue R3-A2 in my Poe/Ello list and found that R3-A2 was very effective in the following ways:

First off, I kept Blue back and was only attempting to keep him in arc of Fel (or my current target) and I flew Poe and Ello with no care to how they might get shot back. Fel is more frail than the T-70s, so it put the pressure on my opponent. One opponent did not change his tactics with Fel and was quickly blown up.

My second opponent only took stress when he was sure Blue could not get a shot on him. This made Fel nowhere near as effective on offense and turned the game into a chess match. The first player to royally screw up was going to lose. The pressure was still more on my opponent as losing Fel had a bigger impact on his list than my list losing Blue.

All in all, I think it is a very good list and look forward to playing it against different types of lists other than the small ace builds.
