With the newly announced Defender goodness, I can't wait to run this:

Vader in the TIE/x1 with Predator, Stealth Device, and Advanced Targeting Computer

Delta Squad Pilot in the TIE/D with Tractor Beam x2

I don't really see how to make it better except switching out the Tractor Beams for Ion Cannons and ditching the Stealth Device. Vader strips tokens and the Defenders clean up the mess.

Thoughts/comments?

I don't get the tractor beams. Vader's shot does not benefit from them, and while the defenders get some benefit from their own beam, it seems kinda meh (I haven't tried it yet, so can't say with certainty)

A favourite list of mine is:

Vader w/ lone wolf, x-1, ATC, engine & proton rockets = 39 (the proton rockets are purely for fun----not all that necessary)

2 royal guards w/ push the limit, royal guard title, autothrusters & hull ugrades = 30 x 2

Its a blast to fly because you can zip around dodging arcs on low PS opponents, or use one of the royals as a blocker on higher PS (and hit it with the proton rocket!).

Switching the royals for defenders would be decent, I would think. However, to fit in with Vader, I think these are the better 3 choices:

Delta w/ x-7 + hull upgrade = 31

Delta w/ TIE/D & flechette cannon = 32

Onyx w/ x-7 = 30

Of course you can drop proton rockets and switch Vader's Elite talent to whatever you prefer.

Tractor beam is less worthwhile unless its your highest PS ship shooting (or your first ship shooting if all PS in squad is the same).

Edit: on second thought, you could get more value out of the tractor beams by using Decoy on Vader:

Vader w/ decoy, X-1, ATC & engine = 36

2 Deltas w/ Tie/D & tractor beams = 31 x 2
