I will click on a thread that has a titillating title. Who wouldn't?

If I am combing the forums out of old habit or boredom (or both), I seldom care if the thread is perfectly represented in the title. If I am looking for something specific (almost never), and I think by the title that I have found what I was seeking, only to have been misled concerning the content by a "click bait" title - well, life goes on. I am living the sort of laid back life where I can easily suck up the passing, momentary frustration of finding myself face to face with misrepresented content.

I simply don't care enough about a few seconds of wasted time to call "the Internet" to task on it. Funny thing is, I forget about it almost as soon as I leave the thread, go on about my day, then sleep well at night - without ever fixating on my own impotence to cause the internet to reinvent itself in a way more pleasing to my personal palette.

Besides, I seldom see "click bait" done right.

In the list of thread titles, there is a little down pointing arrow to the right of the title, just left of the thread stats (depending on browser, it may only show up when you mouse over the thread). If you click that you get a preview of the first and last posts in the thread. Slightly useful on a desktop, but pretty worthless on a mobile device.
