Replacement Piece Question

By csharpe417, in X-Wing

Recently, my wife and I got into X-Wing miniatures and I have to say, it's a ton of fun. We bought the Slave 1 expansion on November 30th and opened it to find that the part where you put the peg into the ship was cracked. I sent in a request to FFG on Decemeber 1st. The status note reads " We are more than happy to help you with your request and will send the requested replacement at no cost to you." The Request Status still says "In Process."

My question is, how long did it take for your part to come in the mail? I know that today is exactly 14 days since I sent the request in and it says on their site that it take about two weeks to process the replacement.

Where are u physically located? The last time I tried it took me over about week to get a reply that I was living in a region they did not have the license to support me in my region (I'm in Asia).

It is approaching the Xmas season and I'm having a lot of at work getting real work done with US & Euro organizations with people going off on leave and what not. I can't say for sure but FFG might be having similar problems in their customer support.

Located in Las Vegas, Nevada. I sent an e-mail the other day to see if they could update me on whats happening, but still no response.

It is too late now, but if it was broken when you opened it, why not contact the shop?

FFG is good at replacing stuff like that. They might just be busy though.

Yeah, it's the holidays, so they are busy. I needed a new K-Wing and they replied to me next day, and I got it in the mail 3-4 days later.

On November 28th I submitted 4 requests for the exact same thing except they were for small base ships. I got the same exact response on December 3rd. The link they pride to check status said they shipped on December 8th. I received my packages either the 10th or 11th, I can't remember. FFG Is in Minnesota and I'm located in Wisconsin. But upon opening my boxed they only sent 3 of the four items I requested. I figured I'd let some time pass just in case. But after waiting a few day I just emailed the a few minuets ago asking what the deal was with the other item.

I can't complain to much I did get 3 new ship model for ones that were broken. But the one they didn't send was for the alternate paint scheme Tie Advanced from the Imperial Raider. FFG has great customer service I'm sure they'll get back to you soon.

Just got a reply from their customer service department. High volume of traffic because of the holidays. I'm fine with waiting and I appreciate them e-mailing me back. I've heard nothing but good thing about them replacing damaged items. Thanks guys!

I'm glad they got back to you. I recently also submitted a request for a lost piece. I lost the maneuver dial for the t70 xwing from the new core force awakes core set. I sent them a request for it around the 3rd week of november; I told them I would be more than happy to pay for it. I just didn't want to buy another core set just for a maneuver dial. I got an email reply the following day saying they would be happy to help me, and they would send it to me free of charge. I felt great and couldn't be more pleased with ffg service. The package did take some time to arrive, but I got it just a few days ago. Sadly.... when I opened it I had received a f/o tie fighter dial. I sent them an email about it and submitted another part request as well (about 3 days ago now). I have not yet heard back from them yet regarding it.

I hope it is just because of their busy holiday release schedule and they are trying to get all their products out in time for Christmas. I have heard nothing but good things about ffg from everybody I've talked to, so I will continue to wait for a response from them. I miss playing with my Shiney blue t70 xwing.

This.

People have a habit of boosting into range 1 of Miranda, where they can be rewarded for their service to the Republic and given a summary execution with 4-5 dice. Magnets make tight spots so much easier to handle, especially against that one opponent that insists on bumping himself on the K-Wing.

I've looked up a few things about the magnets and it looks a lot better than using the pegs. Is it pretty easy to do?

Seems that I jumped the gun a bit because my fourth ship came in the mail one day after I sent a email asking what was up with it.

I can't say enough good things about FFG's customer service.
