Bombers have always been decent jousters, with decent agility backing up a significant amount of hull. Gamma Veterans offer both the opportunity to take Crack Shot, and to out-PS it's tie fighter mirror, the Crack Black squadron. Though Howlrunner doesnt fit well in this list, Long Range Scanners gives each ship a TL+focus+crackshot for the opening pass, which should be enough to eliminate enemy howlrunner before any black squadrons get to use her. Any Gamma verteran then can disengage long enough to get a new TL and cme back in with more bonuses than a normal tie swarm.

This list is interesting at the very least because it has 5 PS5 ships - as far as I can tell you can't do that with any other ship.

Ugh - worse yet, give them all VI and you have a 5-ship PS7 swarm with 30 HP.

I've been thinking about the Crack Vet swarm as well, but don't really have anything to add, because I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around it.

eh...can't say I see it over your typical crackswarm

the bomber's got a great profile (for its cost) and a right decent dial that gets a bit too much flak, but it's no Tie/ln dial for jousting purposes

that, and the 20 points versus the black squadron's 15 means you lose an entire ship in the mark-up
