Has the mechanism been spoiled yet or do I have to wait until I open the box on Thursday ?
Deploying Dock Ships with the Gozanti
Grrrr **Docked Ships** not "Dock Ships ![]()
Not yet. I'd expect a blitz of info in the near future now that it's shipping, as we know nothing of its deployment or titles.
It's actually explained in the current FAQ plus the Gozanti cards that have been revealed in articles.

FFG stated at the end of the Swarm Tactics article that they'd be putting out an article covering deployment, so I'm assuming there's still more coming.
The FAQ makes it pretty clear. When you trigger a deploy (on the Gozanti card) a docked ship makes a maneuver out of the carrier from the front or rear. I'm not sure what more you'd think there is to it?
Would be sweet of you re-dock....lol....maybe some repairs?...wishful thinking

Because there might be?
One of the titles may allow you to use the outside of the maneuver guides instead of the inside, or other crazy tricks.
Repairs wouldn't really make much sense in the scale of this game. These fights that we play out would only really last seconds.
Do we know if a ship that deploys gets to shoot in the same combat phase? Nashtah pup can't, but how about others?
We think so. Not confirmed as far as I know in rules text but in an interview Alex discussed how the Pup is a special case. Normal deployments include actions and shoots.
Pup also deploys in combat phase (normally) so special case. And Pup pilot is too busy not dying in a cataclysmic explosion to worry about shooting.
From this Wikia it seems that ships that deploy in an orderly fashion would get their action (and attack?):

Deploy:
Some cards permit players to deploy ships. To deploy a ship, follow these steps:
1. Choose a maneuver on the docked ship’s maneuver dial (this does not count as revealing a dial).
2. Take the maneuver template that matches the chosen maneuver and slide the template between the front or rear guides on the carrier ship.
3. Take the docked ship and place it at the opposite end of the template, sliding the rear guides of the docked ship into the opposite end of the template. This counts as a maneuver. If this maneuver causes the docked ship to overlap an obstacle or another ship, it follows the normal rules for overlapping. If this causes a situation in which the docked ship cannot be placed in the play area, the docked ship is destroyed.
4. If the docked ship has not overlapped an obstacle or another ship and is not stressed, it may perform one action.

If the carrier ship flees the battlefield, it and all its docked ships are destroyed.
If the carrier ship is destroyed (but has not fled the battlefield), before it is removed from the play area, each docked ship receives 1 facedown Damage card and must immediately deploy. Ships deployed in this fashion cannot attack until the following round.

If 2 ships deploy from the same ship on the same turn using the same maneuver template... what happens?

Certainly not on the Gozanti, which only has external docking. If we got a ship with an internal hanger, I could see _at least_ a rearm, if not actually a repair function.
I mean, maybe not. But it wouldn't be absurd.

They'll overlap - usual rules apply - unless the overlap causes a situation where there is nowhere to place the second ship - if that happens the second ship is considered to be destroyed.
Edited by Funkletonbut since you choose any manuever on the dial if you overlap it's your own fault, i'm thinking that interceptors would rock being deployed this way, deploy 1 from the front and 1 from the rear with hard 2's and boost inward to catch any ship flanking the Gozanti
