Ello with PTL is the reason for the Stress restriction.
The T-70 expac, unduely limited? (pilot abilities; not # of integrated)

if you PTL post T-roll and could still do a white T-roll, you'd still be stressed post-maneuver and wouldn't be able to chain PTLs

Red Ace can get expensive, but having been on the other side of a Proxy, he can be quite the bother to clear. He flew Red Ace with R2D2, Comm Relay, and Integrated Astromech alongside Poe with Push, R5P9, and AT, and a B wing with Jan Ors. I also had Poe+R5P9&Push, 2 B wings with FCS, and a Prototype Pilot.
Both Poes got nuked in the second turn of fire. He used the approach to have Jan Ors throw Red an evade. Before I shot him, his stats had effectively become 3235. Her did roll at least one evade quite often, sometimes 2, plus the token, but then he gets another token for the next attack. Then, he regenerates one, which becomes 2. At one point, he had 2 Hull 1 shield, facing a B wing and A wing, and he just used his action to get another evade from Jan Ors. Spends the evade, loses a shield, gets an evade. Able to make the A wing whiff. Net zero damage after the next activation phase, but he bugged out so I swapped targets to the b wing instead of making chase and he beat me.
Haven't played in a few weeks, but looking to test it out myself. He is markedly weak against TLT, but many things are. Not a bad ability by any stretch. In fact, I'd say not the best but certainly mossy interesting among the T70s.
I'm with you, though, FGD, the new FOs are the hotness. With that and the Gozanti on the immediate horizon, I'm itching to go back to my old buddy the TIE Swarm.

The ability to T-roll, Boost, and then focus or TL might be a bit broken. Mind you, this fun can you yours thanks to R4-D6!

This too. Stress them, then T-Roll and stress again, now you're behind them blasting away and they can't K-turn ever.
Red Ace? Well because this here is totally ridiculously tanky and dangerous in offense on top. And i mean if Red ace had an EPT and could take JUKE... I think then we would be a bit on the OP side!

I included Ezra with Kanan because it fits for 23 points, and for that price if Kanan can allow Poe to PTL with impunity, Poe's powerlevel will go over 9000...
You could leave Comms boosters aside without too much trouble too, and give Ezra PTL so he can stress himself more reliably and clear it with whites afterwards too. Which makes him more of a threat for himself and Red Ace not a lot less tanky.
And your opponent can't permit himself to focus Ezra, because then the T-70s will probably mop up the playmat with his gonads, or regenerate out of killrange of anything that survives at least.
Edited by ForceMI get the appeal of Asty, I'm just very confused as to why it's limited when it doesn't shut off consecutive T-rolls without outside interference (and 4ks)

Nobody stops a Kansas City shuffle just like that!
Well it's probably to enable stress mechanics to stop him from TROLLING you constantly... Omg that was so flat it hurts!
And then he/she/it probably has the dumbest name in all of X-Wing...

Wtf...
So is Red Ace better with thrusters or IA? Gets a lot cheaper with IA, but that's only gonna net 1 prevented damage vs. the thrusters which *may* help against TLTs.

IA makes him even harder to kill, while AT is great for protection against turrets of any kind.
I see Red Ace as flying right into the enemy's face and not giving two cents about return fire. I think IA will be the better fit for him.

Yeah, it's apparently a reference to the Beastie Boys album Hello Nasty. That's the album with the song "Intergalactic" on it.
Abrams is a Beastie Boys fan, as evidenced by a young James T. Kirk rocking out to "Sabotage" in the 23rd century.
Dude, Red Ace is amazing. R2-D2, Comm Relay, and IA and he's a tank. I've played against him and he's hard to destroy.
First turn on red ace is to fly him on a rock to knock down a shield and gain an evade lol.

Just flew (H)Ello (N)Asty tonight with Crackshot and R4-D6 w/IA. The dude is my new T-70 hero.
So

In other news, I've finally accepted the T-70 into my life.
so, Red Ace is being advertised as a flying chunk of concrete
but can he survive my green dice?
can't say I'm not curious to find out now

Ello Atsy is a very nice pilot - and works well with how I've been trying to use the T-70; as a manoeuvrable heavy fighter.
Red Ace is very much a 'go up the centre' pilot - with Comms Relay, Autothrusters and R2-D2 it takes concentrated fire to kill him (or else he'll recover the shields you've taken off) but concentrated fire plays into his free evade tokens, and with a 3 straight/2 bank being green and native boost he can break contact quickly, meaning range 3 protection from the autothrusters.
Ello Atsy's white talon rolls are just awesome. It's a scary move anyway, but especially since that leaves her action free to boost, too. I'd probably take predator, to give you attack modifiers without needing your action - that leaves you free to use your action to move (more) without stressing yourself.
The list I'm trying has two staples at the moment. Lightning Reflexes on Red Veterans, which works very, very well, and R2-D6 with Adrenaline Rush on Blue Ace - because a Talon Roll followed by a hard turn boost is ridiculous.
Lightning Reflexes might well work on Ello, too. After all.....if the Talon Roll is white, you can reverse direction after a talon roll, turning it into a speed 3 sideslip - giving you even more daft options for maneuvers. I'd probably stick to an R2 astromech, because being able to clear off stress is critical.
