Apologies for most likely asking something that has cropped up before but I was hoping someone could clarify exactly what Dash's ignoring obstacle ability entailed.

My understanding is that he doesn't lose an action or take a stress/damage but he does lose his attack if he ends up on an obstacle?

Yes -Dash's pilot card specifies that obstacles are only ignored during the activation phase and when performing actions - it say nothing about ignoring rules for performing attacks.

So Dash is subject to the same combat phase penalties for landing on an obstacle as any other pilot.

So it will depend on the obstacle - he can still perform attacks if he lands on a debris field, just like everyone else - but can't attack if he lands on a rock.

If we are talking about Dash the pilot then yes.

Debri clouds doesn't prevent anyone from attacking though.
