Force Rating

By Warl, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Is the only way to increase Force rating through very specific Talent trees? It seems Odd that they are limited to only specific trees and not in every F&D career tree, or being just a method of, Pay X for each Additional Force rating increase which gets to be a larger and Larger number each time.

Done that way on purpose. Lightsaber forms are already very powerful.

This question should be on the force and destiny forum.

I'm grateful they did it that way. It represents how much investment it means to actually become good with the Force.

It was a good change. Didn't start that way.

Alpha test. The trees were different.

There are a couple Lightsaber Trees with Force Rating Adds, but they're the more Force Heavy ones, like Niman Disciple.

The placement of Force Rating Increases can be definitely be annoying. My next character I want to play a Sentinel: Shadow, and to get to it's one Force Rating raise I'll have to spend at least 40 exp on talents I have absolutely no desire for, but on the whole I'm glad they didn't make them to prolific. Once you get a force rating of 3 or 4 you become pretty potent.

Niman Disciple is the only "Lightsaber Tree" that has a rank of Force Rating in it.

Well, "currently" at any rate...
