Anyone else think that escort on luke/wedge and vader is morr of a handicap then benefits. I mean if you have a choice of shooting at wedge or a regular xwing. You take luke general. When really the other x wing should be flying escort for luke

In the case of Luke and Wedge, they're too much of a Selfless Goodie-Goodie to let anyone else bite the bullet...

With Vader, its more the fact that he's flying so far ahead of everyone else that no-one can keep up to get in the way... Those that do, are just ineffectual at it.

Wedge and Luke are an even bigger pain with Rieekan keeping them around.

I had a whole round's damage off four firesprays soaked into zombie Wedge, when there were plenty of other targets I'd have liked to be killing.

I put Vader with Rhymer and 2 TIE bombers as my stock rhymerball.

In this situation, Vader's escort is a huge boon.

Yeah. Wedge feels pretty good as AA in a Rieekan list. Especially if he is protecting other named squadrons. They have to spend a whole turn shooting Wedge before they can even start on the other squadrons, and Wedge still gets to retaliate with a full 6 dice barrage.

Standard X-Wings do not benefit from The Zombie Lord's Necromancy. Only named fighters shall be denied the sweet release of oblivion in halls of the Lady of the Long Silence.
