But then it would have been too many cards for the new starter
TIE Shuttle, using a title to make a new ship instead of making a brand new ship.
But the emperor is only 4pts per crew slot!
Good to see FFG trying this out now so that they can do the same for the avenger...
Really too bad they got rid of the bomb slot.
No, the Emperor won't fly in a shabby Tie Shuttle ^^
Personally, I think the FO TIE is the one that should have been the Title. For the regular TIE Fighter. Because they are almost identical except for their paint jobs.
The TIE/fo is a lot closer to the TIE/ln than the SF TIE/fo is to the TIE/fo.
They probably would have done it that way if the FO was an old, long established ship. But since it is new hotness bad they no doubt had to produce new ships to TIE
into the new movie, we got a new sculpt as well.
Same reason the SF tie will be a new model, they are going to want the develop the new movie as much as possible, not take shortcuts with it.
19pt Fleet Officer buggy. I like.
The TIE/Sh did actually appear in The Empire Strikes Back. Indeed, its wings were also inverted.
Check out the wings. They're not Bomber wings.
I'm beginning to suspect the SF First Order TIE will be similar - it doesn't really look that different from a FO TIE
Imperials need a turret slot upgrade.

Maybe - we'll have to see
I'm still trying to guess how many new ships we're gonna see - so far only 3 new ones have been sighted tru tie in merchandise (other vehicles seem to be planetary craft or capital ships).

I agree with statements above. The FO is much more similar in physical design to the original TIE Fighter. Slightly different, but quite similar. The SF has a different crew compartment with a large window on the rear and the mounted turret weapons on the top and bottom. Pretty sure the red markings on the front are also raised, not just painted.
Imperials need a turret slot upgrade.
The SF TIE/fo deserves an aux firing arc.
Oh well ... the technicians put this one together the wrong way ... they are only humans after all ... so ... yeah I guess ...
That's exactly how I feel every time I put the Royal Guard title on a squint. Basically I have to 'squint' to see the extra fins on the wings. Maybe I can do the same for the TIE Shuttle.
I love this shuttle title, it really opens up what that ship can do. I think trying to keep it cheap is key, I like Mara jade on it, gives you good control, just put him right in the mix and stress out your enemy squadron.
A fun build idea!
Ps2 bomber, Mara jade
Rexler brath, x7 title, predator, twin ion engine
Whisper, acd, Intel agent,sensor jammer
Might actually be a pretty good build
Tomax Bren with lighting reflexes, tie shuttle title, rebel captive, tactician, and the mk II engine mod = most maneuverable tie bomber ever!!!!!!!
I just hate the attack dice because there are only two of them.
Edited by TheGreedyMerchantIt is like a new ship, and I do like the title. I hope that the tie bomber can still succeed in its original role though -- as a bomber and ordnance platform. I don't think that's the case right now, but there's still some stuff left unspoiled...

The TIE/fo is a lot closer to the TIE/ln than the SF TIE/fo is to the TIE/fo.
TIE/fo is almost as different (model wise) to the /ln as the /ln is to the Interceptor. /fo has very different engine config as well as huge chin guns. Starboard antenna and changes to the wing pylons are also present. The interceptor really just switched out the wings, leaving everything else the same, but of course the added guns and bent wings amount to 'completely' different ship.
The Special Forces TIE is a radical change from either /fo or /ln, but I believe if the Shuttle and Royal Guard titles can be represented by inaccurate models, then the /fo can pretend to be the Special Forces.
Still waiting for the /gt, /rc and /fc titles, as well as Vanguard.

No. No it ****ing isn't. If they were painted the same, you wouldn't be able to tell they were different models unless you were holding them in your hands. As evidenced by the fact that nobody knew they were different models until they had them in their hands.
You can tell an Interceptor isn't a TIE Fighter from 10 feet away.

TIE/fc, TIE/rc and Vanguard would all be the same Title. One that adds a System slot.
The /fc is just equipped with Fire Control System. The /rc is equipped with Advanced Sensors. And the Vanguard is equipped with Advanced Sensors and Shield Upgrade.
Just make one Title called TIE Vanguard and use it to represent all 3 ships.
TIE/gt would of course just be a Title that adds a Bomb slot.

Quoted for truth. Except I would add that there are people who don't notice the differences between /ln and /fo even with the models in hand.
With a boarding craft you can send boarding party team into a CR90 or a YT-1300 and turn it against your opponent.
Take it over, maybe not. But 'Stormtrooper Boarding Party' as a two-crew upgrade, discardable, that places some lasting damage-causing shenanigans on a huge ship instead of attacking seems perfectly characterful.
The Doombomber is very sensible too. Yes, all right, it's gonna blow up. But once you've used Vader 3 times you're giving away points too, and a hull upgrade gives you a 4th shot out of it and is still cheaper than the shuttle.
Jonus is going to be brilliant with this. As noted, Jonus, Fleet Officer, MkII Engines and - what? Maybe Rebel Captive?

keep him cheap, make him less of a aggro-magnet.
so just fleet+MKII
Tomax Bren/Shuttle/MKII
Cool Hand
Fleet Officer
a real problem for me:
do I switch the solar-panels or not? there are pictures showing them bend inwards and in the movie (plus here and there) they are bend outwards.
so..?!
and has anyone switched them yet and got pictures of the models?

Is there more evidence of the original Tie Shuttle model? Maybe this is a prototype of some kind? Or some non-standard modifications?
AFAIK there is just this one really short shot of a TINY shuttle in the movie. --> )oo(
everything else (games, renders, whatnot?!) shows them --> (oo)
guess I have to try it for myself and if it looks okay'ish, that'll be the/a way to differentiate it (more) from the bomber.
still, would be nice to have it "correct". while I have no problems to mod the rebel/scum ships that don't look right to me (hello k-wing!), the imps are something different. fluffwise, them modding everything just doesn't fit for me.
I think to be movie accurate, they need to bend outwards, to mass produce at home for the game, maybe not

I like the idea but I'm not sure you even want a named pilot. I flew one yesterday and found the scimitar to be sufficient. Slightly expensive even.
