Scyks could use the same treatment as Tie Interceptors got. Giving them 2 mods would be quite nice.
A second title that gives the scyk native boost would also be a good option.

but some of the cards coming out in the next wave and imp vets will help scum as well
I agree the Scyk has been lacking to me since day 1. I just never have gotten around to liking them and they are neither cost efficient nor a lot of fun. It's baffling to me that both they and the StarViper don't have illicit upgrade slots while also being so costly to deploy with minimal payoff. This is especially true when it costs an additional 2 points for Scyk's to use a title that realistically be free, or the ship itself should be 1 or 2 points cheaper given that it just is not a TIE Fighter by any stretch of the imagination. I frankly think they could have benefitted more from Boost as well as opposed to Barrel Roll, but that's entirely debatable on which is better for position.
I always felt the Viper needed to have an extra shield with 3 hull, especially given the omission of Evade (dice math be damned) no elite generic, disappointing PS for Guri and Xizor, and... I don't know. They just feel a little too wimpy at times, and that makes them not fun when they should feel dynamic, imposing and one of the star attractions for the faction. Instead when I kit out Xizor or Guri I immediately think of how much straight up BETTER the Aggressor is and take that instead. It's really sad. ![]()
Also, to those complaining about the Firespray, what are you talking about? It's honestly one of the most balanced and effective ships in the game, even if costly to deploy.
I would like to see alt Firespray captains and a new paint job. Its in the 2nd wave of scum aces though.
Syck and Viper are handsdown the 1st round scum aces though.
Why do Aces packs always have to be "fixes"? Isn't it enough introducing new fun stuff?
FFG could do a Scyk fix together with a Scum huge (Jabba's Yacht?), analogous to the Raider.
And release an Ace pack for the Viper and Khiraxz - both are OK in certain roles! But are more or less locked into these rolls until more pilots appear.
I can see Firesprays and Khiraxz as 2nd round of Scum aces late next year. ALT paint on Firespray and ALT model on the Khirxz. Some new pilots and other upgrades that affect other ships as well. New HLC etc upgrades.
The Scyk fix is called TRACtOR BEAM!

Honestly, I'm kinda getting with the power creep in this game. Maybe "power creep" is the wrong phrase. How about, "do something" creep? The gap between tier-1 lists and fun lists is ever-widening and that sort of bothers me. And there's no end in sight. FFG will just keep "fixing" things over and over again through a never-ending cycle. I feel like ... like FFG's fixes are taking all the old skill out of the game. It's getting to the point where some lists almost seem to run themselves.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love the Scyk to get a bump up, but I really, really hope that whatever fix it gets doesn't change the character of the ship.

I do understand a moderate amount of concern for power creep. But so does FFG. None of the new info released here shows power creep. I am yet to try them out on the field of battle but all of them seem well thought out.

The problem is that it's well priced, balanced and all.
but meta is dominated by aces and some upgrade-combo-ships with net worth OVER the "well costed and balanced" level.
Ah, touche. I'm certain there are ways to make the Firespray love grow back again, but personally it's never felt weak to me. I could be skewed by how small my local meta is, but it always feels so solid to deploy.
I guess Scyk is the ship that needs some fixing from S&V and Starviper needs as well some bump up! Other than that I am not sure if there is any big issues with Scum...

The YT-1300 could be a TFA re-release. If a Rebel Vet Box pops up my bet is on E-Wing and Z-95 Headhunter. E-Wing upgrades to encourage more lower cost E-Wings to be played, while Z-95 introduces a Z-95-AF4-H Heavy Z-95 for a bit more variety sitting between the Z and the X in points cost.
The others could be packaged with huge ships like how the Carrier added more TIEs without improving the TIE Fighter in particular.

The Scum Y-Wings are fine. Rebel Y-Wings need a hand. YT-1300 will probably get a TFA revamp but until then it's pretty powerful as it stands. Rebel HWK seems ok but the HWK in general could maybe use a hand. Rebel Z-95 is the most overused ship in the meta. I don't think it needs any help at all.
So Rebel Y-Wing & E-Wing should be in a Rebel Veteran box. Just my 2 pence ![]()

This really. I think the special-K can and will fit a unique role compared to the X-wings due to it's tighter moving dial. I would just like to see a greater pilot variety for these ships.
I imagine the synk upgrade will come in the large ship, which to be honest I probably won't buy anyways. I will just look to offload the sperm ships on e-bay and use that to get what I want. Lol. It's a pity, becausei t's a ship I've really wanted to like.
Rebels have the Stressbot Y-Wing which is much more viable than the scum Ys really. Ys don't need a buff - they need more interesting pilots.

going by the above, people havn't discovered slaver + gunner + bossk
the named pilots (apart from Latz) are all a bit naff because aggressors exist and do their job far better

No, I'm not talking about the Scyk's durability. Many of the suggested fixes on the forum completely replace the "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor title and I feel strongly that the title is what gives the Scyk its character. I'd hate to see it supplanted by something new. The Scyk needs to be elusive and hard-hitting. It doesn't need to be a tank. Being a tank doesn't fit its profile. It's supposed to be a TIE Fighter with a cannon/ordnance.

Yep. The white 1-hard turn is immense, and the long k-turns are invaluable as well. It's not the fastest ship out there, but it's a hell of a knife-fighter.
My win/loss ratio with my mixed Scyk/Kihraxz builds is almost 3 to 1 at the moment; that's mainly using the PS2 generics as well (most of the losses came when I upgraded them from the basic configurations).
