Seriously, sitting at home sick right now watching Youtube and I keep having to franticaly reload the side as to not watch a TFA trailer. So annoying.

That is true for the most part, but I don't use it on Youtube since that is the content creators revenue. I am just aimlessly complaining because I am sick. Maybe I should start a petition thread or something.

I don't complain about the ads in general, I complain about being shown those I don't want to see. I mean they collect so much data anyways, can't they finally register that I always immediatly leave the side when there is a Star Wars trailer?

That's not how the algorithms work, sadly. They just know you like Star Wars, so they think "Oh, let's give him a Star Wars ad!" They don't care that you leave the page. They just want to make sure you saw an ad, so they can get paid.
