I know they are about to release but I am about to preorder them with the Assault Carrier as part of a Christmas present. I have 2 of the new core sets. How many T-70s and F/Os should I preorder?

I'm getting 2 of each. Should cover most things.

Tie/FOs with juke + comms relay provide an option that old ties cannot replicate (and which kicks ass)

T-70s (apart from Poe) basically need integrated as much as ye-ole X-wing to not shatter like so much glass

the viable core set options, Poe/Epsilon Ace/Omega Ace, only necessitate buying one set

ofc, if you just proxy or borrow instead of worry about silly things like upgrade cards, you just need one of each expac (which is what I'll be doing, personally)

3 T-70s and 5 FOs is the upper limit of how many of each ship you'll be able to fit in a single list, regardless

otherwise, here are some awesome Tie/FOs that don't need Juke

PTL = push the limit

Omega Leader (PTL + Weapon Guidance) - PTL sets up ability, WG compensates for inability to spend lock

Omega Ace (PTL) - PTL sets up ability

Zeta Leader (predator) - really all you need for an incredibly efficient ship; 3 dice at PS 7 for only 23 points

Epsilon Leader (nada) - you take him for his ability, which is quite awesome)

Zeta Ace (ptl) - hilarious and annoying (for your opponent)

Epislon Ace (nada) - cheap PS 12; won't rule the world but should be quite useful

I have one new Core; I'm thinking 2 T-70s -- can't see running more than three, and two Integrated Astromech cards are enough for most of the X-wing lists I'd run -- and 1-2 TIE/FO (again, not sure I'd run that many alone).

I plan on buying 3 of each, I already purchased 3 nü cores, I kept the ships from them and gave the rest away to people at my FLGS. I buy some for repaints and some out of compulsion.

I'm buying 4 FOs, just so I can run my "Lord and his Jukes" list (Darth Vader and 3 Omega all with Juke). I'm sure I'll also find plenty of other lists to use that many expansion packs for, but that's my first

2 each on top of neo-Core. A pity that IA/Juke are one copy per pack.

I've got 3 T-70s and an FO on pre-order at my FLGS. That way I'll have 3 IAs for my old X-wing Aces and 5 TIE/FOs. I'll probably get another FO if I find a good way to make a swarm of them.

Probably one T-70 and two FO, maybe only one FO.

For me, only 1 of each, for at least 6 months. I really want more copies of IA, but I'm almost certain that there's some kind of aces pack or something coming for the X Wing that will include multiple copies in the not too distant future. I think Alex or Frank mentioned something about how IA might not be the entire fix in the Team Covenant 2015 Worlds interview, and that there would be future chances to upgrade the T-65.

Not excited enough by any of the T-70 pilots to get more than that... although when TFA actually gets to cinemas, that might change!

1, maybe 2 FOs. Still on the fence for T-70 expac. Perhaps the other ace (Ello Asty/Nien Nunb)? might prove to be rather interesting but with the current list, I'm fine with just having Poe.

I'd be a little cautious about ordering too many copies of either too early, given FFG's history of Aces packs and small ships being included with Huge ships.

core set and each expansion pack is good enough for me. I don't see myself flying anymore than 2 T-70s or 3 TIE/FOs. If I want to Swarm with the FOs I will be adding one of the several TIE Fighters I already have. Maybe I could find some synergy with some of the new ones coming out in the Gozanti.

Only if I'm seeing success on Vassal with 6 TIE/fo's will I purchase another single TIE/fo... and I'm not really expecting it...

Gozanti is regular TIE fighter not TIE/FO Fighter.

Well everything barring what is probably Ello (but could be Nien Nunb) has been spoiled, so if you want to see what they come with it's all up on the wiki right now.

Planning on getting 2 FOs, I ran two Omega Squadron Pilots with proxied Juke and Comms Relay on them tonight. They worked pretty well, but I like some of the combos ficklegreendice listed above, may try some of them out. Also planning on getting 1 T-70, so I can have a spare to repaint as Poe's ship.

You can run Quad T-70 and six FO's. Two of each OP.
