Falcon Flying Tips.

By Sir Orrin, in X-Wing

hey everybody!

I got the falcon and have played 3 games with it now, and im just not getting the hang of it. I want to go in and Blast people, but at the same time, I only have 1 agility, so I usually stay along the edges. any suggestions for tactics, upgrades, etc.

1. pack asteroids close to the center. tight cluster is your choice

2. buy Engine Upgrade

3. use it

4. abuse it!
5. Predator is your best friend.

6. TLTs are your nightmare

7. han's PS9 is there to save you from enemy boost-aces.

8. circle close to the cluster, force the enemy into it.

9. you have 1-hard turn. use it to SURPRISE the enemy.

10. and fly casual.

Flank. You can shoot at people from any angle. Make them chase you, and put them in situations where a wrong guess will give you a shot at them without return fire.

As noted, the Engine Upgrade it comes with a huge for it. The Falcon is deceptively fast with that card equipped, which goes a long way towards keeping you from getting shot in the first place.

great tips, what about builds, I like fat Han alot more than Chewie, but what do I fly with him? and Engine Upgrade was an obvious choice

Predator, C3Po, the title because in some places you need to go slow, not boost fast.

went one of the most reliable builds ever.

Some even go as far as to add R2D2, but you have to keep in mind he's expensive and has a drawback

also falcon loves to have a sidekick like Poe, Dash or maybe even React-o-Wedge.

or blockers.

or maybe another falcon.

Yeah I don't have 3po, and I don't want to print him out just because he is good.

If you fly a turreted ship right at the enemy, you will lose—they're just too inefficient. Contrary to popular belief, turrets do take skill to fly; the only difference is, rather than focusing on getting enemy ships in your arc, you have to focus on staying out of their arc. Ideally, you want to be behind the enemy's ships, shooting without taking return fire. Han is definitely best as a flanker, not as a tank.

Why not print it?But n
Not dumb-print it, but as instead, make a self-made nice-looking promo-type C3Po.

I've made myself a chewie once, Recon Specialist, Wingman, HLK and so on.
Despite having them all in multiples, I still use my old.
