55 Dash with Gold TLT and Rookie X

By mprhead5, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So after a successful year in 2015 store championships with BBBBZ the meta has forced me to move on. I am interested in taking dash to next weeks tournament and trying to formulate a plan. I do not like the standard Dash corran build as I have one slotted corran a few too many times and wanted more on the table to keep the heat off dash.

here is what I have come up with

Dash Rendar — YT-2400 36 Lone Wolf 2 Heavy Laser Cannon 7 Nien Nunb (removed after integrated astromech comes out) 1 Engine Upgrade 4 Outrider 5 Ship Total: 55
Gold Squadron Pilot — Y-Wing 18 Twin Laser Turret 6 Ship Total: 24
Rookie Pilot — X-Wing 21 Ship Total: 21

Nien Numb will be dropped for a R2 or R4-D6 astromech on the rookie with integrated astromech as soon as the card is out. also seriously considering BB-8 on the rookie if I am willing to do without engine

play tested 3 different variants trying to decide between PTL and lone wolf on dash and rotated out the 21-22 point ship between A wing B wing and X. Settled on x for the 3 dice and better speed than a B and with the integrated astromech it will have another hit point effectively for 1 point. I know I can get a TLT hawk for 22 points but its too slow for the rest of the list.

green squadron pilot auto thrusters, crack shot

B-wing Blue squadron pilot

X-wing rookie

pretty sure I am going to run this list this weekend for a store tournament. not sure if its nearly as good as a dash corran list but will have to see what I can make the rookie do and if I can plink away with that TLT. If they go for the 2 mooks strait away then dash gets position. if they go strait for dash I can lead them in a direction that gets my rookie earning his points from a flanking position.

looks like my IA card will be here in time to run the rookie with the R4-D6 or R2 Astro.

Any feedback on this list?

I think it's pretty solid. Dash and two bs is a tried and true list, and you're replacing the bs with IA xwing which is real close, and a tlt y which is prolly better. I like it, I find ptl dash too predictable to block, at least until kanan comes out.

I have been able to use lone wolf every turn on my test games and PTL does limit your moves especially if you don't have the strait greens from Nien Nunb.

A lot of this list comes down to maneuvering. in fact its essential to have a good open exchange and present the rookie as the only logical target. I have found that a single B is no good for this list because it is too slow to keep up with the rest of the list on the move. if they go strait for dash he can peel away to make sure that the X is there with the TLT to keep the pressure on forcing a turn into the threat so dash can get around the side and start his ark dance. if the rookie shoots twice he has succeeded. Dash can only survive one mistake then on the 2nd he dies. Its important not to make that mistake on the first round of shooting since the rookie and TLT can't carry the game if Dash falls hard early.

lone wolf with focus has a lot of 4 hit rolls coming though.

went 1 win 2 losses at local tourney. Need more dash practice to make this list work.

The list suffered from low PS against PS 8 heavy lists. once dash gets a couple hits on him and you can't count on the PS kill shot it makes it very hard to go after a regen Poe. List is still good just need more dash practice
