And I regret it they look so bad in high definition the special edition cgi is unbelievably bad but it's at least better than the prequels where every scene is now painfully obvious that it's shot on green screen.
So glad I stuck with my DVD set.

Didn't get the blu rays, didn't get the digital. Still holding out hope Disney rereleases Star Wars, and I don't have to watch anymore "S#!+ I changed my mind, so now Greedo shoots first"
Anxiously awaiting Adywan finishing his SW revisited cuts. His version of a new hope pretty much instantly became my favorite.
I'd love a checkbox version where you can say "fat ass creature obscuring shots? No thanks. Fixed Emperor? Yes please!". But I guess it is never going to happen.
You know the scene where they are entering mos eisly and get stopped, I swear he's added an R5 going across after that low res mess blocks the shot.
I don't remember it being there in the special edition.
Oh and when R2 hides as sand people pick over the speeder that change is stupid how the heck does the droid get in there?
FU old George Lucas I'm glad you can't ruin the OT anymore.
Perhaps you should considering looking into this?

He was their for a very long time. He was in the old 1990s sw card game, the astromech your talking about.
Also which version of the blu-rays did you see because I thought the first set of blu-rays was awesome, they have had like 2-3 more come after it and disney may have felt the need to up the sharpness every release...?
The bluray set is AMAZING! Great picture, great sound, great extras, great packaging, and of course great movies!
I'll just put this here.

Just a rumor, sadly. But maybe someday this is possible! We can dream...
I kinda wish they would just keep what works with the special editions, being the added scene with Biggs so we care that he dies, the CGI additions to the Death Star battle, and maybe the replaced Emperor scene in ESB. I also would like if the kept the new ending song to Return of the Jedi rather than Yub Nub, though that is just bias on my part. Everything else should be restored with the original versions after being upgraded to HD.
Yub nub was far superior to seeing naboo and Anakin skywhiner replacing the real Darth Vader.

Well the 1997 version of the Return of the Jedi has the different song and lacks young Anakin Skywalker.
