So with Sabine rebel Hawks can now have bombs. Awesome!!!
Rebel Hawks with bombs. Sabine brings it
Sadly with the HWK's dial it's a bit of a crapshoot. It's not really fast enough to get nice jumping bomb placements, although bomb+turret is pretty fun.

True but kwings already had bombs. It just makes the Hawks even more playable. Plus you do two damage. So fly your hawk Ito the tlt swarm. And drop some bombs
You could also throw her in a B-Wing E2:
Blue Squadron Pilot - 22
E2+Sabine - 3
Extra Munitions - 2
+BOMBS
You could throw in adv sensors and be able to drop Connor Nets and other mines before moving. Cool, if not competitive.
Do mine tokens, like cluster mines trigger her +1 damage ability? I'm thinking no, but if they did...
UPDATE: I'm having trouble getting a postable image, but the bomb reference card for cluster mines lists them as 'bomb tokens'.
Edited by BabaganooshI'd be more excited about the HWK with Sabine if it was more durable and could take Extra Munitions. Given she's pretty crucial to taking bombs on the rest of your list, I'd hate to see her easily targeted, and frankly, Extra Muntions seems crucial to making Bombs worthwhile.

Yeah never mind, mine tokens are different
Game mechanic wise, there is no difference between what we usually call 'bombs' and what we usually call 'mines'. They're both "Bombs" in the game rules, so yes, her ability would apply to them as well.

Yeah, I've since tracked down the references in the rules and this is correect: cluster mine tokens are bomb tokens. So if you drop 3 cluster mines on a ship, you get three guaranteed damage, on top of your mine damage - might be enough to reconsider those cluster mines!
once per round, remember
it's more of an advantage of coverage with clusters, you can really extend her ability with them
It's an advantage with every bomb type. It gives proxies a 50% chance of one-shotting Soontir Fel. It makes Conners deadly as well as utterly mean. It makes seismics seriously dangerous for 2 points. It makes rebels the premier bombing faction by a huge margin, but I don't see it being too swanky on a hwk, unless it's in support of fellow rebel bombers.
So.., Sabine, Cluster mines, and extra munitions.., on a B-Wing....
*laughs hysterically*
8pts for theoretically 6 guaranteed damage (assuming the Clusters are proc'd on separate turns) is pretty nice.
Guys... nothing says Sabine has to be the one laying the bomb to use her ability... Your ENTIRE SQUAD can be laying out those bombs trying to trip people at least once a turn...
And, further more, it's a figure within range 1 of when that bomb token goes off. If you hit someone with a proximity mine or conner net, you can hit someone else within range 1 of it with the additional damage.

Yup, which is why I think its important she's on something durable backed up by a bunch of other ships dropping bombs. ![]()
One neat thing about her ability is that you don't actually need to have the bomb token go off to do one damage to a ship within range 1. You could drop Cluster Mines and they will create a range 1 no go zone for an enemy until someone actually runs over them and they get removed from play.
Could be interesting to use this to hide from aces like Soontir.
Now you can have 6 bombs on a K-wing. Don't imps feel sad.

I didn't understand it that way. I believe the bomb has to detonate, and before it gets removed from the table, it does 1 extra damage. Unless I'm misreading it?
although bomb+turret is pretty fun.
Sure, butalthough bomb+turret is pretty fun.
Y-WingsK-wings can already do a better job at that without Sabine's help, and they can also do it with Sabine's help

What makes you think it works like that? I'm just going off what the card says and detonation is not a requirement for the ability.
As a reference, the relevant part of the card states:
"Once per round, before a friendly bomb token is removed, choose 1 enemy ship at Range 1 of that token. That ship suffers 1 damage."
Now you have to mark ownership of bomb tokens somehow...
Edited by bmfre: you don't remove the bomb token until it detonates when overlapping a ship or maneuver template
except, of course, in the case of the bombs that go a-splody at the beginning of combat
Edited by ficklegreendiceThe trigger is "before a friendly bomb token is removed". If a token is not going to be removed, the ability does not proc. It could probably do with an "immediately before", but there's really no room on the card.

I was thinking that was more a timing window. I agree that the intent is for it to be used immediately before detonation.
My favorite thing about Sabine is that she can allow Ion Bombs to do damage...and her ability has no range, so she can also float around on a support vessel and affect bombs anywhere on the board.
