Are there certain ways to build a deck in this game that will help me win more? I'm just starting out and i was just wondering what a good deck has in it and like proportions of cards.

It depends on your playstyle. My suggestion is to look at other decks in this forum and see what works and what doesn't for certain builds. I can give you other suggestions based on your type of playstyle, so develop that first.

Roxas knows what he's talking about...he's a tournament champ. Your playstyle determines a lot, but the three basic kinds of deck are Aggros (power, strength), World Racers (um...can't really explain it), and Balance (a little of both, which is what I usually run). But your style is what's important.
