Now that it's been fully spoiled, any progress on the mythical Ghost/Phantom builds?

By DraconPyrothayan, in X-Wing

Ooh, I just noticed that Kannan's Pilot ability also applies to not-him. He definitely gets double recon every single game.

it fukkin wot, m8?

holy crapolie, it does

I have no idea why everyone's getting excited about his crew; this guy's got it going on!

does double recon even stack, though? Guess there's no reason why it wouldn't. Worst case scenario, no enemy fires and you can dump the 3 focus into 3 TLT attacks with the Ghost/Phantom title

plus, there's always recon + r2-d2

Double recon does stack, because the wording on recon specialist doesn't say you get 2 focus tokens, it says when you perform the focus action assign an additional focus to your ship. So 2 of them would just add 2 extra focus.

I got up to 98 points using all Rebels pilots and crew. And the Phantom still has it's Mod slot open.

Rebels Squadron

I'm sure there are plenty of ways you could pad out those two points.

They need to make this card a real thing.

This is probably the build I'll try first, just because I am partial to blocking shenanigans. I think we are going to see a lot more of Kanan as a pilot than the others based on what we saw with the decimator. Damage mitigation is king on 16 health 0 green dice ships. I'm not convinced Hera is going to cut it, she will be great at avoiding swarms but against proper arc dodgers she will still struggle.

Kanan cripples the attack of two tie fighters per turn, while Dorsal Turret is putting out a steady 2 hits+Gunner with Accuracy Correcter. Against Aces, Hera can jump out, Intel Agent, and every other turn can pick any maneuver on her dial, call it red with stay on target, and rotate her dial to it- if it's possible to block, she can pull it off. Even if she doesnt quite get it, Autoblaster turret is 2 dice of un-palp-able pain.

Protons are questionable since they need target locks, but they've got a built in minifocus.

If I am getting Hera and Navigator right, basically if I dial any bank in, I can change to any straight or bank in either direction! If I dial in any Turn, I can change to any other turn, or a K-turn! Hilarious.

I am assuming that the RAP (rules as previewed) are correct and I can shoot torpedoes out of the rear arc, hence the APT. Should keep people away from Hera's butt once the shuttle deploys.

Lando is there because he gives lots of free tokens (and you don't want me having a focus if I ever get to use the APT). EI goes nicely with Lando, and Advanced Sensors mean I know what he is giving before I get to choose where I am moving to.

Sabine just rocks...
