Ghost part 2 article up!

Don't need APT with a 4-dice primary.

Also, something of note- Both of the dials in the original image are wrong!

Yeah I just picked up on that. What gives? The VCX doesn't actually have a 4-Straight Green? What?

So Chopper Crew... Do you have to do an action when you have him and are able to do one? Or can you choose not to so you don't hurt yourself?

If it is the latter, he will be filling up empty crew slots everywhere.

You may perform an action while stressed.

When you perform an action while stressed...

He's optional. And does seem like he ought to cost... something. Or cause critical damage.

Ha! I was wondering what the heck you meant for a second. Tis true! neither of those moves are green!

How do you get a 4-dice primary behind you?

FFG is the trollmaster.

Probably changed in development. The previewed scyk dial was different from the final one.

Karabast! I feel like I need to spread all those cards on the table and stare at them for a few hours before I can begin to process them. Soooooo many cool options.

My only concern is seeing the price point for the Attack Shuttles. Is there any reason not to try running all four of them in one list except for cost of buying four copies of the Ghost? I really think the shuttle should be 2 attack and have the title bring the attack up to 3. But they used the title for docking purposes...

Interesting that, unlike Boba Fett, both of the pilot versions of Hera have the same pilot ability.

I wonder if we can expect the same thing from other pilots we'd want on other ships, like Maarek.

Ghost Kanan with a pair of Recon Specialists could be fun.

This has probably been answered since the Lambda came on the scene, but I'm not sure... Does two RecSpecs give you 3 foci or 4?

It says 1 additional. So 2 RecSpecs = 3 focuseses

I figured you would love how she enables super bombers. Conner Nets can now do 2 damage. Or if they are really unlucky with Cluster mines, hit one, get the damage, then hit a second token next turn. Theoretically, over 3 turns, you can have your single Cluster Mine do +3 damage. Hell, she can add damage to an Ion Bomb. Too bad we didn't get Thermal Detonators.

Are we 100% sure about this? Sabine's card says "Bomb Tokens". Technically, Conner Nets, Cluster Mines and Proximity Mines are Mines, not bombs - they are dropped in a different phase, as actions, and detonated on contact with the token rather than when you fly Range 1 of a token.

Seismic Charges, Proton Bombs and Ion Bombs for sure, but the others?

For some pilots, that would be terrible. Imagine Rhymer in a TIE fighter with the same ability.

the Phantom docked

Which gives you a second attack from an equipped turret upgrade. Question stands.

Well, I mean, they occupy a Bomb slot...

But that also doesn't guarantee anything.

It's the buff the rebels desperatly needed.

But serious, I like how thematic the expansion is.

Fociii?

I was wondering the same thing. Quick check of the Rules Reference pdf seems to indicate that all upgrades that use the [bomb] symbol are "bombs" for the sake of rules. Prox Mines are listed right along with seismic and protons. So Sabine is a freaking monster for Rebel bomb layers. Which is now just about everyone. Bomb-HWK's!!!!1!! Just because.

Interesting that to really abuse PTL Ezra you kind of need Kannan.

Chopper/Zeb also combo well. I just love that if you let the droid pilot the ship he starts ramming everything.

Sabine seems the most suited to line wolf things. More good flavor.

Zeb in the shuttle is underwhelming, but if you're playing him docked its completely irrelevant.

All the crew cards have their place for sure. No doubt this is a fully featured expansion.

the Phantom docked

It also lets you choose to fire the primary out of the rear arc.

I really -do not- like the dials.

there is EVERY availiable manouver on there. color red, white, or green doesn't matter -that- much.. on a freighter. and on a lego-brick-"shuttle". while most -fighters- .. well, I guess they aren't as nimble as a space-train..

some nice cards in there, though, brings new life in some ships, I hope.

still, very grumpy about the dials.

This is the biggest question I have right now. What exactly does the rear arc do?

Nevermind. Reading comprehension.

It also lets you fire your primary weapon from the special firing arc. Questions sits.

So based on this article, without a docked shuttle the rear arc is torp only.

What a BS expansion. It's like a middle finger towards Imperial and Scum players.

Let's just wait and see what the Imperials and Scum are getting before you let jealousy rule.

Agreed. Imperials might not be getting a ton with just the TAP, but the Gozanti is also coming out and may or may not have another non-epic relevant upgrade in it (Depending on how the article writing team screwed up their math)*. Scum has tons of new options coming. So, hold your horses until we see the other previews.

*Per the first Gozanti preview, the expansion has "twenty-six upgrades, twenty-one are for use only with huge-base ships". Counting the three reprinted EPTs and Kallus, we know what four of them are. The only two unspoiled cards are both doubles. So, there are a couple of possibilities;

1) The article team forgot Kallus is usable on non-huge ships, and one of the unrevealed upgrades is also available to non-huge ships

2) The article team didn't realize that there were two copies of said upgrade card in the expansion

3) The article team screwed up basic math, or got bad design notes, and the Gozanti only has 4 upgrades usable by non-huge ships.

You have seen the YT dials, right?

Sabine's ability to add a bomb slot was expected, but I was expecting she'd be Ghost only.

So, now that we know all the upgrades available to it, is it possible to make a 100 point list with only the Ghost and Phantom in it?

Sabine crew, Proton Bombs, Adv. Proton Torpedoes, Extra Munitions...that's 16 points right there for two APT and two PB shots.

For some pilots, that would be terrible. Imagine Rhymer in a TIE fighter with the same ability.

Oh I agree. Like in the example I used, Maarek's ability really sucks without the ATC. So if you put him on any ship besides the Advanced and don't change his ability, he goes back to sucking.
