Autoblaster Turret+Accuracy Corrector in general seems like a fantastic combination on a ship like the Ghost. 4 points for a guaranteed 2 damage attack at range one with unrestricted arc, and combined with the Phantom you get it in addition to your normal shot so you're not giving up damage. Add Zeb and if your opponent is in either of your arcs while bumping you still get the guaranteed 2 damage.

Oh I agree. Like in the example I used, Maarek's ability really sucks without the ATC. So if you put him on any ship besides the Advanced and don't change his ability, he goes back to sucking.

Maarek in a Defender rocking a mangler cannon says "hi."

I've thought about autoblaster+Acc Corrector as well, and it seems so sweet, especially with Zeb. I would even consider throwing on anti-pursuit lasers for a possible one shot with just the autoblaster on poor 3 hull ships.

It'd be 5 points, but yeah. Full credit goes to the Nova Squadron Radio guys (I think it was Paul Heaver specifically), who were the first ones I heard talk about the combo.

It's mostly the synergy between the AB Turret and AccC. AccC allows you to deal your maximum damage every time with the turret, cutting through high-PS aces like a lightsaber through butter.

Agreed FCS is probably the better choice still, even in this case, but hey, auto two damage is auto two damage.

Guys, I get the "2 guaranteed damage" thing. It's just a terrible trade-off against FCS.

I wouldn't use Hera.

The timing on (pilot)Chopper and (crew)Zeb's abilities is such that you deal stress, then Zeb ONLY kicks in at the PS step where the ships activate.

With the cheapest possible shuttle that's 63pts, or 43 if you forgo primary and just use your shot for the turret.

It's a lot more cost-effective than Autoblaster + Accuracy Corrector on IG-88 and has a wider arc. You sacrifice the potential to deal 3 uncancellable damage, but usually you're correcting it down to 2 anyway. This looks awesome on the Ghost.

I love the image of Chopper rolling around and supercharging everything past acceptable safety standards, with R2 in tow trying to clean up the **** mess.

If you are running Ghost and Phantom, is it worth it to run anything other than a Barebones Zeb? Since the pilot ability and upgrades on the shuttle are useless while docked, it seems like a better choice to make the turret shot more effective via received spec and fcs. Also kitting out the shuttle would also take points away from your 3rd ship.

You might want the Zeb crew card somewhere, also the shuttle sees play when the Ghost goes down and there's some value to be had there, but for the most part... Zeb.

My thought exactly. I wish Sabine wasn't exclusively rebellion, because having bombs on a tie phantom would be hilarious.

And ya, Hera and Sabine do look less feminine, but I kind of like that. If you are a ragtag rebel group, the women of the crew aren't going to be spending too much time slapping on make up and eyeliner.

Are you kidding? Sabine has a flat surface and paint. Obviously she's going to use it!

Not true. Chopper has been disguised as an Imperial droid. You can bet Sabine was the one who did the paint job.

Not sure if it was stated previously and too tired to read through 12 pages of thread but you can't take all of the Spectres with both the Ghost and Phantom. It's exactly 1 short. This bugs me. The Ghost larger than the Decimator but it can't take 3 crew.

Other than that, I'm more excited about X-Wing than I have been in a while. Hera Pilot + Kanan crew is a fantastic combination and I love the repositioning that Sabine + PtL + IA can potentially do.
