Looks fun on paper.

Stealing!! (mostly joking) Looks like fun to play. That phantom is going to be a ***** to catch, much less kill. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, I don't have a lot of games played.

These are the builds I am working on atm. Let me know what you think.

PS 12 Decoy makes Echo's ACD trigger before anyone except Roark buff targets with initiative. Even when Epsilon Ace takes a damage card, he can still have a PS 11 Decoy from Vader. It's a robust choice that takes care of the obvious shortcomings and doesn't tie Echo to just one ship.

But that sticks him at PS 6 in the activation phase. I dunno...are you going to consistently have arcs with which to trigger the ACD? At PS 6, he will sometimes be moving even before the Brobots. Vader's strong but I don't think he's solo-two-Brobots strong, especially not without EU, Lone Wolf, Predator, or the Emperor, and if Echo doesn't get his ACD in against them (sometimes even if he does, given FCS/IG-88B/HLC/Crack) he'll be easy prey sitting on 2 defense dice. Not to mention EU PWTs, who can do their Activation phase shenanigans. Even Miranda can conceivably arc-dodge Echo (or Whisper) without VI. It comes at the expense of her shot, sure, but denying Echo the ACD re-cloak is a big deal that's worth SLAMing for.

Echo is just not slippery without decloaks. That also means you'll occasionally have to use your cloak action when you suspect you won't have a shot, which means *gasp* we might actually face the reality of named Phantoms coming to terms with the drawback of cloaking. And when you do use a cloak action, all the enemy ships on the board breathe a collective sigh of relief.

It's a list that's worth trying out, and against a reasonable number of lists it'll clean house. But I'm not convinced that it's widely usable. The ACD Phantoms need their PS to be high in both phases.

I disagree. Its not that hard to get arc on at least one target with a phantom, even if you are moving first (especially early game when there's lots of targets to choose from). And even against slippery opponents, like higher PS interceptors, you are either back far enough that they can't dodge your arc without giving up their own shot, or close enough that you block them so they lose their actions and you can kill them with Vader.
