Wave 9 will Empty in my wallet.
Prediction time again - what -will- we see in Wave 9?
I'd imagine wave 9 will be heavily weighted towards TFA stuff.
That's my gut too, but I don't know if TFA has enough ships to support that (4 hours and I'll see).
It seems pretty certain that with the way the Disney-machine is ramping up that, FFG should have enough new sources to keep adding new and legitimately canon ships for at least 1 wave a year, if not 2, for the foreseeable future.
Wave 9 will Empty in my wallet.
and the others haven't?

I had to sell my wallet to buy more X-Wing.
I would like to see some Tie Avengers come out so Vader can have his x1 back, since ... you know... they only made one... like... ever.
We BETTER get a friggin' TIE/SF!
So, way back in the heady days before Wave 7, this thread was my attempt to predict the future. After my inspired performance at the time (one out of four aint bad, right?), I'm taking another crack for the (presumably) upcoming Wave 9 announcement in a month or two.
I....
Anyway, those are my predictions. What are yours? Let's do some crystal ball gazing!
God that rebel ship is ugly, and doubt we would be getting the Tie Aggressor, its just a branch off the Tie Adv. and from the looks of the Y-Wing, B-Wing & Tie Adv. and newly released Tie Shuttle titles it seems to show how FFG handles different ships off the same branch. Just my $.02. I wouldn't mind if a future wave was nothing but 3 Aces/Veterans style packs, each have 3 different repaint ships per faction so its the size/cost of most wanted and tons of new pilots and upgrades geared towards that factions. Scum could even have two to play catch up. That would be atleast 6 new named pilots per faction FFG could save on design costs and we all win. But I dont see that happening

Things like the Aces boxes and Huge ships don't count as waves.
What could be considered spoilers, but not plot related, for TFA below in the white text that are relevant to the subject at hand
There were no other new ships really in TFA that we haven't seen. There was the transport ship that was already discussed, but that's it. We'll certainly get the TIE special forces, but I think Kylo Ren's shuttle is actually too big for a large ship, or that's the impression of its size I got.
So that said, I've got no clue what wave 9 will hold outside of the TIE/Special. But the existence of the TIE/Special coming down the pipe probably means no gunboat this time around.
We BETTER get a friggin' TIE/SF!
I almost made another account so I could "LIKE" this twice!

YV-666 wants to have a word about being "too big for a big ship"
it's almost THE SIZE OF A GR-75
and got scaled down by FFG
Edited by WarpmanAfter seeing the selection of new ships in the movie, I could see wave 9 being different. Rebels and Scum just got a large ship in wave so I doubt they will get anything. I could see it being a mixed wave of mostly larger kits:
Scum- Star Jewel Huge- Scyk and Z-95 (Hutt color Z-95, Black Sun Scyk) Jabba crew (takes two slots)
Resistance- Resitance Aces box- Repaint YT-1300 with new dish, Han, Chewie, and Rey pilots. Tech slot. Rey, Finn, BB-8 crerw cards. Black painted T-70, few more pilots to cover some of the ones we see in the movies.
Rebels- Rebel Veterans- X-Wing and E-Wing
Empire- Tie Aggressor (turret slot)
First Ordewr- TIE/SF, FO Transporter
The Ghost has shown just how large of a ship they will put on a large base. Makes me hope we see a Sentinel shuttle one of these waves.

Actually it got scaled down by Lucas continuity for Clone Wars. it looks really strange with its proportions at 40+m long

Not Lucas really.
They scaled Firespray +33%
They scaled Aggressor +25%
They scaled YV-666 -50%
They scaled all HUGE ships -25%
because there's no stand for "medium size ships" like Aggressor, K-wing, Punisher, Firespray.
There's no stand for "longer than large but shorter than Huge" ships like YV
There's small and there's large.
YV is a THREE DECKED 60 METER ARMOURED TRUNK OF DOOM
armada has a good represent of it. X-wing has none
and they made it slimmer, the size of a FIRESPRAY.
FFG, Y do you mess with scale? :C

Still Firespray is 21 meter high.
Place YV and Fs-31 next to each other and say "It's all to scale" again
Edited by WarpmanPlace YV and Fs-31 next to each other and say "It's all to scale" again
This has been discussed many, many, many times before.
I heartily agree that the "scale" is not right - but you're pointing the finger at the wrong people.
When it comes to ships from the OT, the original models were made by the modellers to different scales.
Unfortunately at some point, some bright spark at LFL decided to make canon measurements for all of the OT ships, and did not know/care that they were at different scales.
FFG is painstakingly following the official "scale" as espoused by LFL ... unfortunately that scale is wrong.
Edited by maxamYep the old Lucas continuity was a joke anyway. A ship measurement is a small thing compared to how storylines and characters had to somehow keep changing due to 30 years of continuous stories in comics, books, short stories, games, cartoons and other media.
Remember however that Star Wars was one of the pioneers of the completly fantastic fictional setting. Keeping track of a huge history, geography, astronomy, and anthropology of a fictional universe is not simple or easy. Even in real life errors (if not outright falsehood) can happen that perpetuate myths that refuse to die.
For example this one:
In 1870, German chemist Erich von Wolf was researching the amount of iron in spinach and other green vegetables. While Mr von Wolf actually found out that there are just 3.5 milligrams of iron in a 100g serving of spinach, the accepted number became 35 milligrams thanks to his mistake.

How many fetts is Firespray-31?
let's see, he's 183
185 because of helmet and soles of armour
Firespray is 13 (1 is not seen, picture too small) Fetts long
what means it's 24 meters long, if we measure from the dish edge.
22 if we measure from the hull, and not the engine dish part.
so it's normal.
But if they are in the same 1\N scale then it should be two times shorter than YV-s REDUCED length.
so the 1\N scale is different.
???
****.

I just want a "almost huge' YV xD
Edited by WarpmanY'know, the new Hot Wheels/Black Series Firespray might be a bit closer to its apparent scale.
The Firespray length given in the TCW book Incredible Vehicles is slightly longer than that given for the Firespray in other sources - on the order of 28m.
