BBB List

By Bobbs3k, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So I have a store tournament coming up this weekend, and wanted to try a list I haven't flown yet. I know there are lots of stress lists out there, but this is what I came up with.

Blue Squadron Pilot -22

Fire Control System - 2

Flechette Cannon - 2

B-wing/E2 - 1

Tactician - 2

29 points total

Keyan Farlander - 29

Push the Limit - 3

Advanced Sensors -3

Heavy Laser Cannon - 7

Total - 42

I figure to use the flechette cannon's early on for the range bonus, hopefully hit that sweet spot at range two and have something loaded up with stress. Once that happens switch back to primary weapons and blast away at ships that will be predictable because they can't shed all the stress or have no actions. Keyan will just do Keyan things.

I'm sure this isn't completely original, but in checking a few pages in the forums didn't see anything right away so any critiques would be welcomed.

Thanks.

It's not a bad idea by any means. Advanced Sensors and PtL are a little at odds on Keyan, though. If you PtL before a green maneuver, you'll end up without any stress to use for his ability. And if you PtL after, you didn't use Advanced Sensors at all. You could swap PtL for Stay on Target. Setting your dial to the 2-K every turn gives you access to all the 2-speed maneuvers but they're "red", giving Keyan his stress (even if he opts not to change it from the 2-K). Advanced Sensors combos to either let you add barrel roll for precision maneuvering, or target lock to combine with the stress for a fully modified HLC shot. It's been a while since I've played that Keyan combo, but it's a lot of fun! One thing to note is that your ships have decent hit points but no defense, meaning Keyan's 40+ points are pretty vulnerable.

EDIT: The point you save by using Stay on Target also gives you a 99-point initiative bid, so if you're facing something like TLTs, you can give the opponent initiative and move your generic B's after him to try to get into their croissant holes.

I fly Keyan this way:

Keyan + Stay on Target + Advanced Sensors + E2 + Intelligent Agent.

So you can save points to put a Gunner on one other B-Wing. Gunner + FCS is always nice.

Looks like I spoke too soon. I traded a guy for some B-wings but they won't get to me in time and I only have two, so I'll have to save this list for another day. Thanks for the suggestions though on Keyan. I'll give those a try.

The X-Wing wiki says Tactician has been errata changed to "limited". Does this mean that only one Tactician could be included in this squad?

No, it means that only one Tactician can be into same ship. Many players usually have put 2 Tactician on Shuttle or Decimator.
