AAAAAND Targeting Astromech sucks.

no?

Would be better if you got the target lock just from gaining stress, PTL ya know.

What other options do you have for 2 points for a Rookie?

Tarn, or a Red instead.

I like Tarn. I would rather have a Rookie with the Targeting Astro + Integrated Astro for the same points I have an extra shield and some action economy.

There are so many better ways to spend 23 points in a rebel list than Rookie + PinkBot it isn't funny.

Three words.

Derek. Hobbie. Klivian.

Do K-Turn. Get Target Lock. Remove Stress. Makes K-Turns white for him.

Stay on Target Porkens.

Do anything. Change to anthing at same speed at PS7. Get TL, ignore stress (chance of damage) and take focus.

Did they take the article down or something?

Like B-Wings? Green Squadron A-Wings? Y-Wings w/ Ion Turrets? HWK w/ TLT? Pair of Z95s?

I agree that there are other ways to spend ~23 points. I still think a Rookie + TA + IA at 23 points is a good deal.

Six effective health for an extra 2 points that will give you a free target lock if you K-turn.

I am trying it out as soon as I can.

I don't fly a lot of xwings so some of those combos didn't jump out at me. They seem ok and with integrated astro I'm thinking they'll see some table time. I wonder what combo was thought of that made it cost 2 however? Infinitely (nearly) kturning ywings with tlt's?

Why not both?

ARGH WHY CAN'T HE HAVE AN EPT! THIS WITH STAY ON TARGET WOULD MAKE HIM PERFECT!!!

I always like my Porkins of the "Push the Limit R5-D8 Experimental Interfacing" kind. Take two actions, clear stress, if stress turns to damage use Experimental to try and alleviate, clear stress.

Though this does look fun (though not very competitive in a tournament scene).

It doesn't look like it's for X-Wing but seriously? Is it really that bad????

It's a free Target Lock while stressed. A B-Wing, Y-Wing and X-Wing can all target lock after a K-Turn.

B-wing has not slot

EDIT: Ha less than a minute and 3 of us are on that ****

Assuming he means advanced sensors and having a squad full of different ships all capable of doing that.

Dutch anyone

EDIT: I don't like it for Dutch, though. It gives you a free target lock on a red, but Dutch doesn't have a lot of options for clearing that stress once he's acquired it. You either live without actions for a few turns or are locked into a slow forward.

Dutch wants R7-T1 and no one else to keep his TLT up and running, so I'm thinking that's a no on T.Astro for him.

The Hobbie Combo seems to work, but I'm thinking R7-T1 with Experimental Interface is better. Focus, EI for your droid, target lock, stress. Spend lock, do it again.

Similarly powerful, and includes another action as well as a boost. For the same cost as TA+EU, you get much more flexibility as well as a focus token.

Unfortunately I think I'm with the crowd that's saying Targeting Astro is underwhelming. I WILL give it a word of defense in that it was never said by a developer that this card had anything to do with an X-wing fix. My disappointments come from its application possibilities, not its ability to improve the X-wing. That was never promised. I DO like the idea of it on Dutch, but in general its mostly a dud.

^I dunno, I k-turn a LOT. With Hobbie particularly, clearing the stress happens before Check Pilot Stress, so that's a F+TL stack where you'd normally have zip.

IF hobbie is the highest PS in your squad, Rebel Captive does nothing.

Oh my gods! The targeting astromech doesn't let me auto-win! Waaah! It only has situational use and isn't amazing!

That is some of the worst sarcasm I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

Ja, ik! Onder andere, er zijn er meer natuurlijk.

I was initially really disappointed but now I really have to get that Transport. Stay On Target, Targeting Astromech, Integrated Astromech Porkins has to be amazing. :D

It's 2 points... not sure why you would expect it to be amazing when those 1-point astromechs are actually useless.

Currently there's only one other 2-point generic Astromech (R7), and I'd take Targeting Astromech every time.

It's a great fit on T-70s IMO.

Well, there's R2 Astromech, which gives you four (X) to six (Y) extra greens. Fair bit better than useless, I'd say.
