Wonder how it times with Hobbie's ability, if he can take a stress, get a TL, remove a stress, take an action then that's pretty good.
AAAAAND Targeting Astromech sucks.
I love integrated astromech but I was really, REALLY hoping Targeting Astro would be 1 point.
Most importantly, it's finally been confirmed that five ships is a swarm...
So, I guess there's a new article.

Targeting Astromech:
Isn't that the pink R2 that girl made?
So far as a portion of fixing munitions? Pbbbt. Swing and a miss.
It being part of a munitions fix was an assumption on the community's part. So now that the assumption is wrong the designers are wrong?

Good call. Astro says "after completing" so sounds like Hobbie now has white K-turns. Funzies. Competitive? But Fun.

If so, it's fitting. Taking a stressful situation and making some good out of it would be exactly what her astromech would do.

/s/ Of Course the designers are wrong... Are you new here? /s/
Personally, I have had high hopes for this wave as a final fix for firing further munitions. I think tracers can help. I was sorta counting on TA and Guidance Chimps to round it out.
Isn't that the pink R2 that girl made?
I don't think so. This one looks like it has a gold top. Also, it looks red to me. (Also, if we're talking about R2-KT, it was the dad that made it for his daughter.)
What is a Guidance Chimp?
What is a Guidance Chimp?
New unspoiled card that comes with Punishing One and Tie Adv. Prototype. Can see Guid- C- and modification. Does something with torpedo rolls. Most folks think it will be a Guidance Chip but chimp is more funnier.
Someone in another thread just suggested 'Stay on Target' plus 'Targeting Astromech'
Has possibilities. Maybe not always on a named pilot but...

Could make for a very reactive Wedge I suppose.

Red Squadron Veteran might like that....?

White K-turns with a second action. Could be quite fun.

Not a ton of unnamed pilots without the EPT for Stay on Target though.
Not for two points and not as competition for the valuable astromech slot. Nope, it's total crap.
This is not the (additional) X-Wing fix we were looking for. : )
I agree. I'd rather spend the 1 point on an R2 Astro.
Well ok, It's actually quite good on the T-70 and it's T-rolls. But most of us were hoping for a Droid to whack on the T-65 to help it a bit.
Eh.
I must be missing something. X-Wings and BTL-A4 Y-Wings k-turn to stay in fights, this astro means you aren't totally losing your action for doing so. Also, Integrated Astromech is auto include to make it an effectively 3S3H X-wing that gets free Target Locks on it's (frequent) K-turns.
I don't understand why it would be considered bad at all.
Cos It's two points, takes up your Astromech slot, and for the T-65, only activates on a single maneuver, and one that is fairly easy to predict and block.
The K4 droid activates on more maneuvers, can be used multiple turns in a row and only costs one more point.
I partially agree with your reasoning here. For 2 points, it is a hard sell on someone like Poe, Wedge, or Luke since there are objectively better astromechs and the 4-k on the T-65 could be easily blocked. BUT...
On a Rookie Pilot as PS2 though, it sounds like a solid choice to me. 2 points for a free action and odds are that because he is moving early in the activation phase his 4-K won't be blocked. Also, toss on Integrated Astromech for 0 points and you just effectively added a one time use shield that gives you a free Target Lock on the second most important maneuver for a jouster until you decide to burn it.
What other options do you have for 2 points for a Rookie? R2 gives you a bunch of green maneuvers for 1 point, but I don't feel like that is as useful. R5? No thanks, R3-A2 is better served on a Warthog Y-Wing, R4-D6? no thanks again. R5-K6 is the same price and unique and has a 5/8 chance to fail. R7 is good on Tarn Mison but Rookies?
TL;DR: Targeting Astro isn't amazing on Aces, but I think it will be awesome on Rookies w/ Integrated Astromech.
I also like this as another option for Porkins. Basically gives him PTL on an unblocked K-turn.
Or Wedge with Stay On Target.
Wonder how it times with Hobbie's ability, if he can take a stress, get a TL, remove a stress, take an action then that's pretty good.
Yeah, due to the change in timing on when stress is checked when performing maneuver, Hobbie just became king of the K-Turn joust.

for all his 1 red moves.

Tarn, or a Red instead. Or you know, a B-wing.
Edited by stmackStay on Target Porkens? with Hobbie as wingman?

Hobbie is definitely the best fit for this but not sure if that makes it useful. Dutch wouldn't mind this either.
