Meet the Party: The Enemy Without

By Cannibal Halfling, in Dark Heresy General Discussion

With Enemies Without having hit the 40kRPG map it was high time for Meet the Party to make up some official, ready-to-play Ordo Xenos characters for people to use in their games or draw inspiration from. Meet the Party characters aren't just ready in a mechanical sense; they come with a ready-made backstory, as well as some details on how they interact with one another. Our alien-hunting Acolytes include:

Zadori Florenza, a skilled negotiator and Ambassador Imperialis who left her garden world to seek her fortune aboard a Rogue Trader's personal vessel, until Dark Eldar raided the ship and the Inquisition rescued her.

Lothos Harlocke , a former Tech Priest who had the poor fortune to be raised on a research station that advocated studying alien technologies. Now a self-aware Heretek, Lothos continues his Quest for Knowledge under the guidance and protection of the Ordo Xenos.

Sesselie Novioanna , a veteran of the Imperial Navy and an Ace pilot who distinguished herself during a fight against an Ork WAAAGH!, equally skilled at waging war with a ship or craft and repelling boarders with her combat shotgun.

'Fatal' Halli , a death worlder mercenary who managed to turn the skills needed to survive her homeworld into a profitable line of work, until a deal with the Faceless Trade and some Kroot went poorly and she sought out Inquisitorial employment.

The new homeworlds, backgrounds, and role made for some interesting building blocks, and some of the new talents are particularly interesting. SO, if you're looking to join a band of Ordo Xenos Acolytes or just want to see what they might look like, give Meet the Party: Dark Heresy 2E, The Enemy Without a visit. As always, your comments/suggestions/questions/general feedback are very welcome, either here or on the Mad Adventurers Society comments section.

Thanks, and may the thirsting dice gods have mercy on your souls!

That's a very nice work.

Little problem with stat, some plaes you say "talent and advances" and this get all mixed up, with skills being there AND in skills.

Maybe it would be better to make:

Skills: All the skills

Talents and traits: All the talents and traits

Advances: The characteristic advances taken.

And put the skills at +0 instead of known, it will be easier in my opinion.

Otherwise, that's a nice job.

Hmm, a good point. I had it that way to sort of show how XP was spent . . . but that's a secondary concern, really. Splitting it up like that would make it a little cleaner and easier to read, a primary concern.

I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you liked it!

Always fun to see crunchy things! ;)
