Tourney advice

By Seraphimtoaster375, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I'm going to a little store tournament this weekend and would like to run a squad by players, other than the three guys I play with, so here it is:

YV-666: · Moralo Eval (34)

Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

Maneuvering Fins (1)

· Greedo (1)

· Bossk (2)

Gunner (5)

Aggressor: · IG-88B (36)

Veteran Instincts (1)

"Mangler" Cannon (4)

Proton Bombs (5)

Advanced Sensors (3)

Inertial Dampeners (1)

I'm not super attached to anything really, just looking for advice and tips, anything is appreciated.

Perhaps you'd be better served running something like this?

99 points

PILOTS

IG88-B (50)
Aggressor (36), Veteran Instincts (1), Fire-Control System (2), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Glitterstim (2), Autothrusters (2)

Boba Fett (49)
Firespray-31 (39), Push the Limit (3), Recon Specialist (3), Engine Upgrade (4)

If you want to stick to your original concept, cut the Proton Bomb on IG-88B and use those points to change the EPT to Lone Wolf (they'll fire on your 1 agility ship first) and upgrade the cannon to a Heavy Laser. Then, your ships both move at PS6 and you can choose the order that's most beneficial to you. Also, I'd cut the fins, to swap Greedo out for a Tactician. That Tactician+Gunner combo may actually prove to be a threat for certain high agility aces. Like this:

PILOTS

IG88-B (50)
Aggressor (36), Lone Wolf (2), Advanced Sensors (3), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Autothrusters (2)

Moralo Eval (50)
YV-666 (34), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Gunner (5), Bossk (2), Tactician (2)

You can also drop Advanced Sensors and Lone Wolf an swap them to FCS and Crackshot, leaving you 2 points for Glitterstim on the IG88-B, which is heavenly for when baddies turn to point in your direction. The Crackshot, FCS and double-tap helps IG88-B draw wide arcs and tag guys like Soontir or Vader who might otherwise prove very elusive. Don't undock that IG88-B without Autothrusters though. Always autothrust.
