Well thar escalated quickly...

I'm playing in my first escalation tournement on Sunday, and I'm loving list building for this format! I'd like people's opinions on my top two lists, and which they think I should plump for...

Vaderway

A) vader, x1, adv. Targeting

Soontir, ptl

B) + tempest advanced, accuracy corrector

Vader gains mk2 & predator

Soontir gains AT and SD

C) palpmobile enters the fray

D) second AC tempest, both gain cluster missiles

Feedback Disarray

A) Kath Scarlett, ptl, k4

Binayre pirate with feedback array

B) kavil with tlt, unhinged and crackshot.

C) 2x feedback pirates

D) talonbane with glittercrack

Two very different lists - one very strong, one a bit hipster. What do you think?

I like the Imperial list, but in week 2, give Vader an engine instead, then add Backstabber instead of that Tempest Pilot. Tempests are very strong, but Vader needs that Engine. This puts your list at 88 points, thus giving you a 2 point initiative bid for your PS9 guys, which could easily matter.

Backstabber gets WAY too much value if your opponents focus on shooting your other Tie Fighters first and he gets free shots from out of arc, and if they shoot Backstabber first, GREAT! That means they're letting your big threats creep up behind them. Go, go, 16pt Biggs!

Palpatine in Week 3, to boost your bid to 3 points and give you them extra fancy Darkside powers.

Week 4, you can give Palpatine Sensor Jammers to increase durability. Enemies will line up to shoot at it, but you'll force them to spend their focus defensively when you hit with your Tie Fighters, then Palpatine skates on by. With your other 26 points you add Lt. Colzet with a Proton Rocket and Accuracy Corrector (thus maintaining your 3pt initiative bid). Lt Colzet can act as Emperor's escort and always take a defensive focus action and still pop enemies with the accuracy corrector, but if anything gets into R1 of our beloved Pope Mobile, Colzet can light 'em up with 5 dice from the Proton Rockets.

Just my two cents.
