What rebel treachery is this? That's no way to protect our beloved Emperor.
PILOTS
Commander Kenkirk (63)
VT-49 Decimator (44), Push the Limit (3), Emperor Palpatine (8), Ysanne Isard (4), Engine Upgrade (4)
Darth Vader (35)
TIE Advanced (29), TIE/x1 (0), Veteran Instincts (1), Engine Upgrade (4), Advanced Targeting Computer (5)
Ysanne and Kenkirk's green die (which the Emperor can manipulate) can keep your expensive investment intact. Ysanne and Push the Limit can work together to boost at the start of the combat phase, essentially moving it at PS12. Your Vader is the ultimate ace hunter, with PS11 and the Emperor to help modify blanks on his attack dice, making him extra lethal.
I've had a great time flying the above list.
Alternatively, you can be a bit more aggressive from the above list and upgrade to RAC and drop PTL, possibly for Determination.
I find using Kenkirk makes me want to spend Palpy defensively, when it's probably better off focusing on bringing as much hurt as you can.
I don't hate the idea of PTL and Ysard... That might be something I have to play with.

I got 3rd place in a 52 man tournament using PtL and Isard, but I didn't realize until afterwards that this setup essentially lets you ignore asteroids (your obstacles of choice) for the cost of 1 action. At first steering was a bit tricky because I was limited to green maneuvers and my ship was so bulky, but now I know that it's fine to go right over asteroids. If you land a hit or a crit and you would take damage, just Emperor it away. At the start of combat, you're unstressed so you still Get Ysanne's Evade Action, then from there you PtL and boost off the asteroid. Just make sure your front guides clear in the first pass, so you don't have to go over it twice. Being able to ignore asteroids and boost away from pursuing aces at PS12 is really strong.
If you should happen to go RAC instead of Kenkirk, you're left with fewer total options for modifying your dice. Sometimes you'll score natural hits with Vader and RACs ability + Target Lock will do the trick. If you should decide to go this route, there's a spare 2 points to hook RAC up to the Ysanne/PtL trick as well, OR you can keep your Deci at 63 points and give RAC Veteran Instincts, which is the 1 point EPT of choice. PS10 on a ship that can fly in any direction is pretty spicy.
I opted to keep my Deci at 63 points because 35pt Vader, 35pt Soontir and 29 Palp Mobile is a real thing in the meta right now, and if you blow up a 35pt Ace (like their Vader, since your Vader as a 2 pt initiative bid) and Palp's shuttle, and they blow up your Decimator, then you win 63 points to 64.
Anyway, it's a fun list to fly.

This was awesome to play in our league last night! Thanks for the advice.
Very glad you liked it. You're low on firepower, so you have to use your superior positioning ability to your advantage, but the list is a lot of fun.
Always two there are. No more, no less.
I'm trying this ![]()
For some reason I have only just gotten a decimator and I love a bit of imperial treachery!
Is there a name for this Power of the Dark Side list?

Edit: If anyone is interested, I discussed the list in a bit more depth here

I really like this list. Just picked up a Raider last night so I will be trying it. I am curious though, how does it hold up in comparison to the more typically seen Palp+2 aces?

Shoot down Vader or the Shuttle first (ideally Vader, since he shoots first and can maintain arcs. Only hit the Shuttle first if Vader is really playing coy), as opportunity presents itself, then go for the other. Your Vader should move after theirs, and their Vader doesn't have Autothrusters, meaning your Deci can still hurt it. Your Decimator will probably explode, so make sure it does work first and dodges arcs, etc.
You can probably pull a narrow victory of 64 vs 63 with your Vader and their Soontir on the board. Just don't put yourself in a bad spot where your Vader can get focused down quickly, cause then you're left in a 1v2 or 1v3 scenario, and it's much harder to keep the Deci alive, especially vs. two ships, for that duration of time.
Edit: Also, your Deci is a big ship that moves first. Take advantage of that. Steer towards your enemies at R3 for the first engagement, then fly directly at them for round two. They have to fly around you to avoid catastrophic bumping and it puts them way out of position. Ramming speed!
