Using the Raider as an effective anti-squadron platform (C'mere you little...)

By Tvayumat, in Star Wars: Armada

Well, today I tried running a fireball forward of my raiders at first.

The Instigator and another R1 were able to deliver several anti-squadron shots each to a mess of rebel named squadrons that had engaged my firesprays.

They made all the difference, delivering consistent damage and burning through defense tokens, finally allowing my firesprays to break free and take down an MC80 which had been closing on my remaining damaged ISD.

Rieekan is an infuriating admiral to run against, by the way, when your opponent has lots of named squadrons.

Intel would have freed me from engagement with zombie squadrons, but the Raider's were what pulled out what would have been a loss by burning through those hit points.

That B/B Anti-Squadron is beast. Glad to hear the little slice flies well with other folks too!

Ran the Raider as an anti-squadron platform with just a Raider 1 and Ordnance Experts. That think almost garenteed 2 damage to every squadron!

I had him flying around with my 6 squadrons which consisted of 1 TIE Advanced, 2 Firesprays, Dengar, Mithel, and Rhymer.

I used Dengar to let Mithel move and fed Mithel squadron commands from the Raider.
