The House Rules I use, what are yours?

Another one that one of my players is requesting is to give some kind of benefit for single one handed weapon fighters if they hold their weapon two handed. They think two weapon fighting and double weapons are to powerful. I am considering if a character uses a one handed weapon two handed to give them accurate quality 1 or a bonus 1 to that quality if they already have it. Other idea was to give brace quality one if holding two handed

My main house rules are

Soak: It is not Brawn based, it is silhouette based instead. Silhouette 1 characters have a fixed soak of 2, which you can modify with armor and talents as usual.

Jury Rigged: The reduce number of advantages needed to activate crits and weapon qualitiesl only applies to the first activation each shot.

I am trying to modify space combat, but I find it is too much work, so it is a pending task

To be fair, most melee weapons aren't hugely effective unless one really specialises in it or it's really well modified. I have an entrepreneur/agitator trandosian that keeps a monoedge sword inside a walking stick he uses as a prop to convey status, I kind of find that even if it was an axe or a electro staff, he still would preform fairly poorly outside his primary vocation. Most players I have known preferred a blaster for image anyway. Two weapon fighting also kind of requires a fair commitment to work as more then a one off.

That being said, I really like the houserule rule preposed, it's a small perk that kind of reflects a commitment for wielding a lighter weapon in a focuses manner.

What are you trying to modify about space combat? Just curious. ^-^

Mainly how shields work, and I would like that the pilot skill would play a more important role, as for example de gunner does.
